BMW F30 CATLESS DOWNPIPE INSTALL

the process of filming this video was hell. On to the next one. I would NOT recommend to buy this downpipe, I did not carefully read, it is actually for the 428i/428i xDrive. It should still fit because its for the N26 motor, but the bracket holding the downpipe doesnt line up with the bolts, so I decided to make this a fun little vlog, to also let you see how it sounds. It sounds MUCH BETTER after getting welded! I swear! The car pulls WAY HARDER!

Definitely not a big fan of how it sounded in the after shot. Did the muffler and resonator delete on my 2013 328i and was happy with that. Installed an injen intake after watching your install video and now it sounds glorious 😌

Anthony Luna it sounds 1000x better after it was welded man. It has a mean growl now, and i will make a video specifically showing before and afters. I think the mic simply cannot pick up how much better it sounds. Not only sound, but the car pulls harder now!

Also, catless downpipes tend to give off unburnt gas fumes in the cabin because thats just the way they are. I also have a lot of fumes but they go away as i drive but come when im driving with sport mode on.

Shumile if you know your vin, you can do a vin decode and that'll tell you what engine you've got. Mines an N20. N26 is a super ultra low emissions vehicle since California has strict emissions regulations.

Hey dude I've watched this video like 4 times and I just caught something I missed. You say going catless causes a check engine light unless you get a tune for it? Or once you go catless there's no way around having the check engine light on?

Unless you get a flash tune, you can only hide the CEL or have the Computer read the o2 sensor isnt ready. Bootmod3 and RK Tunes both take care of the actual light itself, versus JB4 which pretty much just keeps it off so you dont have to see it, but the code can still be seen with jb4. This is to my understanding

That's why you should buy from a trusted source, spend more on quality and proper fitment. Also your catalytic converter isn't there to silence your exhaust its there to burn waste fuel, removing it wont add 20-30 hp either unless you get the proper tune.

As an FYI, these are junk. The turbo mount is too large and must be grinded down to fit. This is a well known and documented issue for the N26. The alignment brackets are also not aligned. Horrible product. Yes, you do experience faster spoolup.
