Hey bud, a colleague sent a FB note today asking that I listen 2 u'r music....she knows music is my passion......and wanted my opinion......she also said u went 2 her church........ I listened....learned......googled....and was impressed with u'r gift......being a keyboard player my ear is tuned 2 the keyboard, then the shape of the tune......and u'r all over the map.......luv the electric piano solo in the middle of this great tune........so gifted bud.........He has shown His light on u.......blessed u abundantly........always stay under His blessings and see His glory unfold in u'r life........

Smooth Jazz at its best!!!!
@nliebert418 жыл бұрын
this ain't smooth jazz dude. smooth jazz is when someone plays a few notes on a sax or whatever with a bit of swing at a slow tempo and makes it super relatable so that he or she makes lotsa money. it's basically pop with jazz sounds.

@@nliebert41 this jazz is strange because have a "tic tac" hi hats mode: the same mode to play hats of some disco-soul mans (Barry White and Isaac Hayes for example), Southern rap and trap music

This song has a lot of callbacks to Art Blakey jams, some madlib thrown in, some Herbie, Some "Umi Says"... I know it's original (and dope af) but some refrains passages are definitely echoes. Who are the inspirations?

Trumpet is old-school rehash. Freddie and all that. Not a slam on his beauty, but ... hey. Shaun, you too! What's new? What is happening in terms of we humans talking out of their horn about the world and the future? All of you prodigies slam your horns better than I do, but you have a world of speak and gut to deliver yet. You do much of that for us, new soul, but there is stuff ahead. There is complaining and gut-bucket to show this world about life and its endpoints. Let the world hear how we cry, how we laugh, and how we stumble and grasp for survival of the heart.
