The best learning point for me was at 5:05 : 这是在...的前提下 "This is under the premise that ..." Normally we would say: "This is assuming that ..." And we say this a lot. So it's really good to learn how to say it in Chinese. 谢谢老师。

潮州 people of southern China first came to Bang Kok they try to imitate local people accent by naming Bang Kok with 潮州 accent "Mang Kok" and write in chinese alphabet "曼谷" but in mandarin is "Man Ku". This is the reason why Bangkok is called by chinese 曼谷 (Bang Kok or บางกอก in Thai mean "the place of olive tree")

As a Thai who have lived here my entire life, Yes, you can go around speaking English and you’ll survive. It’s generally understood in most part where there are lots tourists and other parts are partially understood.
