I learn more through your videos than with my teachers in university. Probably because my teachers use french to teach/my textbooks are also in french. English is my second language so watching videos in english I have to focus more than with my native language. Your explanations are also very clear and straightforward. Thank you.

Thanks! You are great. Really good explanation. Using 着 zhe was one of the first things I learned in Mandarin - I started learning with the lyrics of the song “Gāng hǎo yù jiàn nǐ”. And there it is at the very beginning: "Wǒ men kū le, wǒ men xiào zhe ...."

我真的爱你. So helpful to know when seeming synonyms are not really interchangeable. Once again there's a distinction made between talking about a POINT in time vs talking about a PERIOD of time...I'm beginning to catch on that this is a fundamental feature of the language.

Question - in English we can say "drinking coffee while chatting" or "chatting while drinking coffee". The second activity is the main activity, the first is something you did during the main activity. Are you able to switch it around like that in Chinese? If not, how do you know which activity to put with zhe?
