Looks like fun to me! I used to practice with those back in the early 80's when I was into Ninjutsu. Really tickled me when you said "the country of Taiwan" Well done.

Fun is an important concept too many have forgotten. Aw the old bb gun wars and the chance to pick up shrapnel at this time of year with bb's lawn darts and fireworks! I need some of these now and a Ballance orientation and rotation device or board of my own!
@henryvandeventer24572 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I miss those days. A buddy nearly impaled himself with a lawn dart when we were 8. Heck I think I died at least 2x and my mom just told me to walk it off 😁

@@henryvandeventer2457 Yeah in the late 1970's and multi pump bb guns came out the first time and I was shot with one I have to basically tweezer 2 bb's out that were stuck below my skin! Mom would have whooped the fire outa me. New rule THOSE only get 1 pump!

I have a really nice set with a fairly nice forearm holster a friend gave me years and years ago. I got good at throwing them, would sometimes wear them around because it felt kind of "cool" to have them on, but haven't in a long while now since the novelty wore off and I realized I'd most likely neve actually use them. I may have to dig them out and give them a few tosses for old times sake.

Wow, a forearm holster? That's full ninja mode dude.

I'm a coach at an axe throwing house... we also have knives and "ninja stars"... they are a lot of fun and yes you are correct they don't like to stick in vertical grain... if you can get yourself a log round they will stick much more easily... another thing we have are things like S&W Hawkeye Throwing Axes... there are cheaper versions on amazon... they are lots of fun, come in packs of 3 and have a bottle opener on them to boot lol.

Out of all edged weapons, throwing stars are the most regulated. Even more than switchblades.
@Goldenwithaleash2 жыл бұрын
Man, I haven’t messed with one of those in years. When I was growing up in the early 90’s every county fair or flea market had cheap “ninja stars” that we’d buy and play with.

Takes me back to my youth too! Of course they are now specifically banned as offensive weapons here in the uk!

My girlfriend and I were hiking in a national forest on a dry creek. We round a bend and come up on a bunch of 12-13 yo boys with throwing stars and knives. They all froze like they just been busted.We both look at each other and I say..."wish we had thought of that...hey can we try!. The kids looked relieved. We spent about 2 hours playing. It was funny.Like adults don't like throwing sharp mettle at innocent trees...

Just use a nail magnet and you'll find that star real quick! (Home Depot or Lowes has magnets that roofers use to pick up loose nails in the grass and dirt)

I'm so glad you mentioned this because that's exactly what I need after today, I lost one of my shurikens in some brush and was thinking about how I could put a magnet on a stick but this is a way better idea lol l. Thanks for posting!

Probably be better if they were red or have some sort of reflected tape on both sides to use them outside back then we use a dartboard in the house

I am called the blues professor for a reason. This was a combination of a good friend of mine calling me professor and my love of the blues. I'm a history nut. Poor Richard's aka the the farmers almanac is the oldest public in print in the USA..

Sherkins or ninja stars are indeed very fun I have used them on different targets and have thoroughly enjoyed it. These that you have recommended seem very good but I lost interest in things that do not increase survival or otherwise benefit. I absolutely love to have fun but this is not for me.

I honestly believe we could be very great friends. I know we don't agree with each other on religion an or faith. I also know Cristian apologetics fail every time against reason. I think people can at least agree to disagree with respect and honor in tact.

Some times what we know isn't necessarily so. "The power of the cross is foolishness to those who do not believe.". Still, friendship is a worthy. pursuit for is all. Have a great day.

Way too much talk. Watch Xolette to see a female child throw them better than you. lol Seriously, it was a great video put out a year ago. We can't have these in Canada but the mediums were her all around pick, while the light model was her pick for throwing all three together.
