It's all about slow negatives for us poor folk with only basic equipment.

One hint: When you reach the apex of your pullup motion on the bar, rotate your wrists from overhang grip (aka false grip) into a dip position, so that now the palms are supporting your body on top of the bar. Imagine you are turning the throttle of a motorcycle. Not rotating the wrists was the reason you were forced to rest your forearms and chest on top of the bar, which is not a good starting point for a press-up motion. And maybe a slightly wider grip is advised. Otherwise, impressively fast progress.

Never seen the half-weight harness but I really want one!! I sure wish there was a calisthenics gym near me. That would be amazing for learning the planche.

can anyone tell me the principle of the gymnastics forza, the pulley system that the pulling force has to be the same amount to lift the load up, means if the load is 70kg, each pulling force has to be 35kg, then how come it's easier than/lighter than normal ring muscle up?
@shutupnlearn Жыл бұрын
actual weight = the weight of the entire system /2. E.g. Me weighted 70kg, if no weight attached, Actual weight = 70/2, 35kg If I attach 10 kg, Actual weight = (70+10)/2 = 40 kg
@jakemccoy10 ай бұрын
Your butt is taking half the load via that seat. So the weight on your arms is cut in half.

Congratulations, bro, bang on, thanks for your trials, you had the same machine as mine, its called dream machine- i made it myself, cost me apprx $80, i use it for iron cross training, you use it for muscle up. Now i tried slow muscle up
@shutupnlearn Жыл бұрын
can u teach me how to make that😂

same principle as your muscle up-adding weight, the only difference is you need a straight elbow-locked out not a slight bend while doing cross 90 degree press. @@shutupnlearn

Kev, just a quick update, i am doing 20kg now false grip muscle up using pulling system, its 3 weeks now, so far no muscle up yet. I weight 80kg, i think i need to do close to 40kg before muscle up..what you reckon?
@shutupnlearn Жыл бұрын
The machine takes off half of the system weight. (80+20)/2 = 50 kg. u are pulling around 50kgs, (80+40)/2 =60kg, u are pulling with 60kgs, So, slowly attach more weights

tha's not a slow muscle up tho, you just removed the momentum. To truly claim that you've learned slow muscle up, you have to master the transition to the point when you can pause, change speed, direction in the middle of the transition, not just complete it without momentum. Don't get me wrong, you still got amazing results, keep it up!
