No 6 is really good if you want to do complicated shapes and lines, but an easier way is actually using what you said in point 5. Just find a font that has an arrow in, draw a path in the animator with the pen, and it does the rest for you on one layer with two/three keyframes. AE treats all fonts as vectors anyway, so you can do some pretty heavy stuff in a really simple way just playing with the fonts & text animator. Brilliant tutorial series man!

for the jittery text, instead of doing the turbulent displace manually you can choose the "random seed" property (under the evolution property), create an expression, and do time*12. 12 is a good value, but you can do whatever.

The stop-motion effect was really helpful! Last time I did that effect, I had to hand-draw the same thing a few different times.

PRO TIP: instead of copy-pasting keyframes for Turbulent displace 1:23 (tedious and unnecessary) - alt-click the stopwatch of Evolution and type time*20 in the expression window (tweak the number to your liking). Then, to make it 'not animating', apply Posterize Time effect to the text layer and tweak the framerate to your liking (5-6 would be a good starting point). I'm surprised that someone who teaches stuff does it the hard way on manual mode.

One Q though, do you ever use (and if so why and how) the text animations library to animate objects/graphics? I saw a tutorial on that and it kind of made me realize that the text animators are SO much more than cheesy default ..text animations.. ?

after effects lumetri is different with premiere lumetri. i couldn't get it work especially when i need to mess with the footage itself it ended up look different. any ideas?

how do you mean? footage looks different in premiere vs. after effects when you're using lumetri?
@wepranaga6 жыл бұрын
@@shutterstocktutorials yes. the grade looks different even when you're using the same values
@guitarinjustin6 жыл бұрын
The color difference has to do with your color working space. In after effects, you usually work in the native color space (set to "None") and the color space is 16-bit. Premiere is sRGB and is limited to 10-bit output. So, perhaps that is why you are seeing a difference in color.
