While swatching, I already thought "Dude, they look sooo hard". I own the Brutfuner Set and for comparison 3 single Holbein, and both are fine. Holbein of course better, but the Brutfuners are perfect for what they cost.

When it comes to pastel pencils, I find that Castle Arts Pasteltints are the most soft and creamy. But also the most expensive!!! Brutfuners are a good budget option, and I also enjoy the Kalour 72 pastel set.

They are definitely the softest, but also tons of white and filler -- but I like them lol

I have Holbein, Brutfuner, Kalour 72 and Castle Art Pasteltint. I don't care for the CA Pasteltint so I gave them and the CA Supersoft to my adult daughter when she asked me for a set of pencils and a couple books.

Funny I actually enjoy the Pasteltint, but we are all so different in how we use them so that always makes it fun to see who likes what and doesn't.

I’ve recently tried the Master art pastel shade set and it was a pleasant surprise how soft they were (and for a really good price).

That's with most pastel ones to be honest. You can, in fact, only make so many shades of pastel lol

i just got these and the metallics hhahahaha i gotta get the 180 set because i like collecting pencils but honestly i prefer my kalours. the shuttlearts are scratchy

I have Shuttle Art Colored Pencils 180 I really like using the 180 on Flowers and Shuttle Art Pastel 60 Together 😊
