Good stuff Abdul. Has to be one of the eye catching and unique seiko 5s. I have always wanted an Arabic dial as I like the way it looks. Rolex is most famous but it also looos great on brands like AP or GP. This is def the most affordable Arab dial that I know of

Thanks buddy, yes definitely the other Arabic Dials from Rolex, and AP are virtually unattainable, the GP is a very good alternative. But I opted out for this Seiko 5, but I think I will start by building up with more independent watches.

i prefer the smaller one, 35 mm case i believe. I have a different integrated bracelet on and it's just incredible for what i paid. $120!

Yes, that 35mm one is a great watch. I am not a fan of integrated bracelets, as I like to change a lot of straps.

I recently bought one and enjoy wearing it. Got a pretty black genuine leather strap. Looks classy dress up watch. Hope it will last well and hold its value.

great! I am going to buy the 34mm I think, I was curious if you ever showered with it? due to the fact I have seen great crash test review on youtube but apparently the guys says its okay to only shower hands with it?

If you plan to swim and shower at the beach then better not and have another one for such activities. I wear it with leather strap so can’t shower.

@@twiny123 I used it mostly for outdoor activities, didn't wear it for swimming at all as of the 50m water resistance rating.

Agree, that is one of the reasons I sold it, the 100m WR. Arabic Dials are definitely the coolest.

Mind you, I have swum with Seiko 5 watches with a 30m w.r. and I never had any problems. I think Seiko seriously stands by their w.r. specs.

I'm wondering the different of the specs of this SNKP21J between SPRH47K1. Which is better? Share your thoughts please

They are totally different watches from the specs point of view. The SNKP21J is more of an office or Flieger watch, has only 50m water resistance, and wear quite large on the wrist (42mm, 50mm lug to lug). The SPRH47K1 is definitely a very cool watch, and also limited as well cause of the 140 anniversary model. It is more of a diver, and it has a 100m water resistance and a bezel. It wears smaller than the specs. So if you have a large wrist then the SNKP21 (and if you don't want it to swim with it), if not get the SPRH47K1. I hope that helps.

Unfortunately not to my knowledge, most of the Arabic dials were some form of special release in Arabic markets (especially golf area) most of their interests lie with circular watches.

@@AbdulRWatches good review. I brought the watchbandit black canvas. I wear it very tight on my 8in wrist. After a few hours I get a spring bar fail on the buckle side (12 o'clock side) and I am using a double flange 1.8mm for 22mm, any advise as why it seems to happen much appreciated, other wise I will keep using a nato :)

@@TKIAP That is weird, did you try to soften the strap before wearing it tight? maybe put the strap on the watch and wrap it tightly on watch cushion for a couple of days. I think that might soften the canvas, and eliminate that issue.

Hey @@AbdulRWatches the above advise is a good idea. What I ended up doing is changing the seiko spring bars that came with the seiko watch and replaced it with a 2.5mm for 22mm spring bars and over the last few months it seems to have worked. The strap is good and robust the one thing I would build upon with the strap is the 'keepers' on the straps can fall off especially when taking off the strap and using different straps to use. thanks for getting back to me much appreciated.

Actually in the watch world the numerals used in the Arabic world is referred to it as Eastern Arabic ١٢٣ .. Persian and Indian numbers have a different caligraphy to it.

You have a 42mm Arabic dial watch. That was lucky as these are normally 34mm - 38mm.
