Siargao is for surfing. Beautiful beach go to El Nido in Palawan. You went to the wrong place. Food is a culture. No food is bad. For saying food is bad is like telling people are bad. Anyway do your research first before you go to a certain place. If someone invited you to a house for meal then you will know.

Indonesia and Thailand are the top 2 destinations in Southeast Asia. Then Vietnam, Malaysia, and probably Laos, Cambodia. The Philippines, english speaking, but more relatable to American who prefer slower pace and low cost of living. It is a developing country that some East Asians and some Europeans likes to visit. It's a place that South Americans can relate. But for Canadians, you guys are exclusive to first world stuff, services and everything, it's Bali and Phuket. Like Australians, they like Bali, but for luxury they go to Greece😊 For classy women, Vietnam tops the list in Southeast Asia. But it mostly Russian tourist that are here Check Myanmar and East Timor, it is beautiful too

Typically Filipino, always referencing with other. Mentawais has waaaay better beaches and waves than this Siargao, yet not crowded and never I heard Mentawaians referencing their islands with other even to their own sibling, Bali. Siargao is mediocre and not distinctive enough so it need some boosters with overhypes and referencing with other, fact.

It's the playground of top tier Surfers, the like Kelly Slater, Gabriel Medina, etc while in southeast Asia, other than Bali of course. Even Antony Kiedis of RHCP spent his vacation there last year, and yet no one come up with an idea Mentawais vs Bali 😊, and please be my guest, prove me wrong if I falsely claim it as the absolute best surf destination in Southeast Asia, it surfers paradise, literally not vloggers paradise tho, heheh.
