i thought the same as you when i first saw this part but later discovered "impulse" is actually the name of mitsuya's bike which is why draken says mikey's the only moron who would ride in this cold 😭 but that means they must be nearby if he could recognise the sound of his engine.. also i understand being frustrated with hakkai because murder is more extreme so why wouldn't he be able to fight? but that's actually the reason, if hakkai kills taiju then it's all over but if taiju lives when hakkai tried to hurt him then taiju's abuse towards him will continue and be even worse. also in general it's very hard for people to stand up to their abuser and i think it's refreshing and realistic to see a guy who's good at fighting not being able to do anything

This episode is lit 💥 i really enjoy your reactions! Agree with you but the thing is takemichi can't take fighting lessons or do training because it takes weeks to months before he learns and the results come out. If u notice the events happen one after another, the man can't even catch a break. Once he comes back to the future, another problem arises and the goes back to the past and solves it as fast/early as he can. There's no time to train. He can maybe learn a thing o two but i think it will still be useless. He's scared and weak when actual situations happen right before his eyes. It may seem like the pacing or timeline is slow or just right because we only watch it once a week but if u notice and if u read the manga, the events kept happening one after another

You come to realize that Takemichi's role in the story isn't to fight (at least physically). He has other roles that only he can play in the grand scheme of things. He has to have a weakness, and that weakness is fighting. It's okay though, cause that is why he has an army behind him.

Hakkai is only willing to kill Taiju because he is afraid of the consequences after the fight, and he still has his little secret that we know nothing about. A dead Taiju can do no harm anymore. Also, Takemichi has no time to learn how to fight, let alone monsters like Taiju. His determination is a damn good fuel though.

To be fair, Taiju was never looking for a fight to begin with. He is actually hoping that they will back down and walk away. Takemichi could literally just say "nevermind, I'm out" and walk away fine. I understand why Toman is fighting this fight and Michi in particular, but Black Dragons did not instigate this.
