Sicilian opening vs king side pawn storm. Why the Sicilian is the best opening for 1000+ rating

After a brutal beat down my opponent left running rings around the Rosie with 2 queens which eventually lead to a draw due to repetition even thought my opponent had 2 Queens vs my 3 Pawns, the still managed to get a draw via repetition. I was actually going for a stalemate or at least trying to queen my pawns so that if I managed to queen all 3 pawns I would actually have a Queen more than opponent meaning trading would only benefit me.
