My father was born in Francavilla so Sicilia and emigrated to Australia when he was 18 in 1962. I spent a month there when I was twenty and was treated like royalty because the people of the town loved my Dad. I have never experienced better food and hospitality. Sicilians live where others starve. It’s also much cheaper there. I visited in May 2022 and 23. Bedda Sicilia! Lovely video. My compliments. (Dad used to sing opera in the shower.)

I should add that watching how you manage to communicate without even basic Italian is just incredible to me, kudos to you.

Thank you! 😍 I think it helps that I'm hard-of-hearing because I've been depending on non-vocal communication my whole life. We don't need silly little words to communicate. 😄

Girl..you have to get into documentary filming or something similar. Your shots are great, your angles and music, everything is great to watch. It seems to me like the camera is your faithful companion. Great narrative and excellent production, I really like watching your adventures.

Haha I don't know about that. Let's see how I handle KZbin first 😉. And you're absolutely right, the camera (really, you all) is my favorite companion along my trips! Once I realized that I wasn't sharing the trips with a camera, but with a big group of friends, I became a hundred times more comfortable filming. 😁😁😁

Hi Jacey! I enjoyed watching your videos What do think of Ragusa overall? I am thinking of buying a property there near the city center and convert it to an Air BnB when not in used. I plan to fly there once everything is safe. Thanks for taking us to your adventures! Take care (:

are you of italian/sicilian heritage?
@FearlessJacey7 жыл бұрын
I'm not technically, but my step-grandfather (my grandfather to me) is very Italian. I also grew up in New Jersey where there are many Italian Americans.

So I was right. You do have something of mediterrean/italian...not only in your look, skin, hair and eyes, but also in your smile and your way of gestuting. This easter a couple of americans living in US are going to visit us, their ancestors came from our village in Sicily.

Well, if I can be compared to Sicilians I don't mind! 😁 that's wonderful! Where in Sicily do you live??
@francescobonfiglio91427 жыл бұрын
In a town in south-eastern Sicily, in the northern part of province of Syracuse, south of Catania and north of Syracuse funded by the greeks.
