100% agree. It's just that reading it quickly, and thinking of ravenwing as only the knights and Deathwing only as terminators. Makes this detachment looks bad. But when you take the time in looking at all the keywords and how they work. Who has access to it. This gets really good imo.

GW could give a detachment that gave you hits on 1, wounds on 1 and 1+++ save with rerolls, uppy/downy with scout, lone op and stealth and peple would still complain its not good enough.

They're probably people like me that play Deathwing for Deathwing. Not Ravenwing. I don't play Raven Guard or White Scars. I play Dark Angels.

I think the reason that the people are hating on this detachment is that they think "deathwing" is just limited to the terminators, dreadnoughts and tanks, but I just learned that basically all of my models have that keyword, man this detachment is awesome, FOR THE LION 💪🏻🦁

Regarding your analysis of inescapable wrath Charge Bonus: Bestowed on a unit that makes a Charge move, so that, until the end of the turn, that unit has the Fights First ability. Note that other rules and abilities that trigger when a unit makes a Charge move or in the turn that a unit has charged are not part of the Charge bonus From the core rules

This detachment is great. If GW takes away Gladius from Dark Angels, then this is the best one for sure. So many ways to listbuild for this one. Thematic and fun.

They still have to spend inches to fly up/down them whereas going through them is huge. This is while it’s using Hover.

common misconception! They have to spend movement going up and down them because some of 10th's rules are wonky!

You can choose to have them Hover T1, so they lose Aircraft for the game, but can then start on the table T1 instead of reserves. Drops their move to 20” max.

@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 imo, lt it's better, because he gives you lethals (+ sus1 from azrael) and the chance to fallback and shoot. Add a +1 to wound and that's scary

The only thing i hate about these detachments is that The Lion, the primarch of the dark angels, doesn't have ravenwing or deathwing keywords. i think he should have both so that he can be used in all detachments.not just the SM codex compliance detachments and the Unforgiven Task Force. Id be ok with him having just deathwing. Also imagine the ICTF instead of.being limited to infrentry you can grt the plus 1 to wound on the vehicles too. I like the detachment i just hate how hard i went into the desthwing side cuz i have 0 ravenwing models besides 2 land speeders and a Thunderstrike.

it is not limited to infantry my friend. All dreadnaughts, the repEx, the Land Raider, all are Deathwing

Wouldnt the dreadnaughts rule work like the overwacth and the big guns never tire? That you cant use both because its not your turn you just can shoot(charge), but you cant use other rules? Or is ut different cause its a rule of the unit?

it is not phase locked, it simply says when you make a charge. If it said in "your charge phase" it would not work.

Also all of our epic heros dive deathwing keyword so deathwing hellblasters with azrael. Assault intercessors with asmodai for home objective. Then the charge back with deathwing dosnt get charge benefits well it does with a judiciar leading them! Skadoosh!

@Happykrumpingwargaming007 yeah think I'm the only player to never have played gladius. I've done vanguard and ironstorm but I've always stuck to da detachments out of principle rule. I actually think inner circle is quite good too. But I've got over 12k worth of models so I can pick and choose combos to how I want to play, I actually didn't mind unforgiven but I guess when you've got more options it's more playable.

My Dark Angels consists of 4 Land Raiders, 4 Dreads, the Lion, and about 150 terminators. So my tactics are a little limited.

I think I dont't agree with the Strategic Reserve. Fulgus Magna enhancement puts the unit into Strategic Reserve. If you read the Additional Rules from 40k App, at Strategic Reserves - Arriving from Strategic Reserves, it said "units that are placed into Strategic Reserves are called Strategic Reserves units, and can arrive later in the battle during the Reinforcement step of any of your Movement phase except during the first battle round." So I think the you can bypass this rules if it specifically said you can arrive at battle round one, like Deathwing Assault enhancement from Inner Circle detachment.

Why do you need a strat to move Stormraven through walls...it has fly, doesn't that mean it can move over walls?

Remember in 10th edition, you have to measure vertical movement, so you still have to measure up and down, so this makes a MASSIVE difference on WTC, not so much on GW terrain. seeing as on GW terrain it only has to go up or down 1-2 inches. But with WTC it can change the effective move from 10 inches to 20.

Still not a fan of this detachment. Cp expensive for gimmicks with very little payoff. If they had given the desperate escape rule to Deathwing as well that would've been something to get excited about.
