Sick of Mozzi's? Wolf Mozzi Zapper Review Carp Fishing

Are you sick of getting savaged by mozzi's? In this Tackle Tuesdays we review the Wolf Mozzi Zapper and the Thermacell Mosquito Repeller.
On of these bits of kit is great at killing mosquitos and the other is a great way of repelling them. These can be used for Carp Fishing, Camping or Caravanning. I use mine while carp fishing 2022 and even at the Caravan.

I've got a thermacell they definitely work, great fir being sat out as the sun goes down, just bought the mozzi zapper on your recommendation for inside the bivvy, will be testing it out soon 👍

Hi. I am really, really glad you put this up. I think i am like you, a walking blood bank for the dam things. Where is the best place to hang the zapper, near the door, or in the roof of your Bivvy. When i was with the Army many, many years ago when we were in Canada on exercise, the Army issued mozzie repellent, I am sure it used to have the opposite effect, they used to love the stuff.

Great honest review. Agree with the white light comment. Why don't they have switchable colour options including red and green? Not great but otherwise good product.

Been using the mozzie dapper for a few weeks now, I can honestly say it's a really good product. It's small and compact and doesn't get in the way when hung up in bivvy, honestly I can't fault it.

Hi Pal, I’ve ment to film the frontier one about 10 times over but had loads going on. Probs needs about half a day to get that one right. Thinking about buying the frontier light aswell and throwing that into the mix 👌🏻

@@CaravanCarpers How do you find it with condensation with there being no internal vapour shield. I really don't understand why they haven't brought it out without one. I can imagine the skull cap will go some way in helping but probably not prevent it as well as an internal vapour shield would.

I bought it because of the condensation issues with the v2 brolly. I tend to leave my door open at the top slightly all year round and this helps. It’s been fine so far (no skull cap on) but only time I will know is winter for sure

another thing worth trying is avons skin so soft have heard that some in the military use it i used to get bit badly at some venues and found it helps a lot ,had the mozzi zapper a while and found it helps keeps the critters in the bivvy at bay i also use the mozzi coils just outside the bivvy

Yep I have my supply of anti hestamine at the ready.. Everything likes a bite of me.. Even ants.. Will give that a bash.. I've tried most repellant best of which, was avons *skin so soft,*.. Tried burning coils.. No good and smouldering toilet roll ia an empty food tin..

Hello. I am looking for some help ref brollies/ bivvies ect. At the moment I have a very old Fox 60" oval brolly, no front just little side flaps. I also have a little day shelter no front just a ground sheet. A JRC 2 man bivvy with front and ground sheet and over wrap (to big for some swims). What I could do with your help with is, i am looking at two possabilities. 1. The fox easy shelter. So easy to put up zip in front no ground sheet or over wrap, cheapest i can find £138 2. Advanta protector peak FB 1 man v2, ground sheet, zip in front £119, over wrap £54. Are you able to help Being a pensioner the 2 i have mentioned are just with in my range. Many thanks.

Hi Ray, I’ve never seen the Advanta one in all honesty but I do have the fox east shelter+ I use it for short sessions. The fox easy shelter is small and low. It seems flimsy but it’s actually not when you get it pegged down. Quite surprising. What sort of sessions are you looking to do in it. Lee

Well presented video thank you. However some of your information is incorrect.... This might help your viewers further..... Q = Are mosquitoes attracted to light ? A= No, mosquitoes are not attracted to light! Mosquitoes are virtually blind and have difficulty orienting themselves in the light. That’s why mosquitoes are less active during the day than in the evening. Mosquitoes are attracted to > Body heat, body sent, Co2 you breathe out. Hence the wolf mozzie zappers are completely rubbish for mosquitoes, however they will attract and kill moths, etc etc.... Regarding the very best mosquitoes repellent ! That’s without doubt one.... Sawyer Products 20% Picaridin Insect Repellent.
