Yeah, if a mangonel fires, you just have to keep walking towards it and it will miss, I’ve come to find out.

Depends who's controlling the mangonel. If it's on auto fire then you can just keep moving in any direction and it'll miss

Maybe the mangonel need a bit of a buff, faster fireing projectiles or something like that. As it stands now footarchers just toys with mangonels and even 10 skirmishers take down 2 mangos is just wrong with the game-balance. Good mirco shouldnt completly flip the rock-paper-scissors system that the game is built around imo

Yeah, make them fire faster and have the projectile move faster and in a straight line. Then maybe to balance it have it do pass-through damage, reduce the damage, and reduce the unit's cost (to say, 75w 75g). Would eliminate the big swings, be difficult to micro against, still be good against massed units, and all without being broken.

So what do you propose? Larger splash for mangonels? This would make them overpowered even against cavalry and you can expect their usage to blow up in low elos because it is micromanagement which is OP, not the mangonel. Limit the micro to a certain number of commands per second? Sounds decent untill you realize this is a **real time** strategy game and that your mangos run into other mangonel projectiles despite you giving them the right commands.q There is just nothing you can do about micromanagement other than make it easier for others too.
