I am also planning to read through the Bible this year. This is the first time I will be attempting it. I am using the Bible Recap plan. There is a 5-7 minute podcast to go along with each day’s reading and it is explaining everything so well! I am really enjoying it so I thought I would share. Happy New Year!

I did the Bible Recap last year and loved it! Using audio Bible and listening to the recap on podcast while I did housework is what kept me going. If I would have had to read it all on paper copy I would have fallen way behind. But you can do it and you’ll be glad you did!

I always find that if I make specific resolutions, they go by the way side in just a few days. So I just strive to Do Better. I hope every year I can at least accomplish that one thing. I might not do better in every thing, but surely I will do better overall. That's my goal anyway.

Follow-up: I read books by Tamar Myers who writes Pennsylvania Dutch Mysteries. Her name character has the last name Yoder has well. She's a Mennonite solving mysteries. In her book she offers guests farm experiences to enhance their lives. Sounds nice, doesn't it?

I don’t want to read a book with vulgar language and I am sure Mennonite mystery books would be more than decent to read. Is there somewhere I can find these Tamar Myers mystery books? Looking forward to being in the sunshine state in a couple weeks! This past year has been very hard for us after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, a 2 week hospital stay and a series of chemo treatments and having to give up foster children because of it all. We are definitely looking forward to a litte vacation and lots of sunshine!

Just diagnosed with breast cancer- 2024 will be a year of learning and a test of strength. Nick looks great- love seeing your video’s. Christmas was kind of a blur this year, guess I should take down the few decorations I had up this year.The boys are such good help. Spending time w/family is the best!Florida is so beautiful.

Lynette, I began writing the Bible. I read my devotional and my Bible in the morning before work,when I get home I write in a homemade journal book. I started in the New Testament. It takes awhile, but it helps give me clarification and retention of the words.

Always such a nice video. Focus on the positive attributes in your life. I love to see how your children get along and how the boys' vacuum and clean up. It's always good to focus on change. I find that more than 2 things at one time is daunting and overwhelming. So, I try to keep it real. Otherwise, I'm setting myself up for failure. I always love your music. It's cathartic, brings me to tears and gives me comfort. It cleanses my soul. In my next life, I want to grow up in Ohio among all of that lush greenery, close family bonds, clean air, animals and peacefulness. Thanks always for sharing. Bless you.

Happy New Year! My word this year is Legacy (am I living a life pleasing to the Lord and what and I doing to help others, my children, my family along the way). I'm also going to try to get more time outdoors in the sun and read at least 1- 2 books a month. Love your style in decorating. Just throwing this out here when we look for somewhere to stay on vacation we look for a place with a recliner and TV in master room, maybe you could make this suggestion to the owners when you help out. I can't believe how hard it is to find a place with recliners and seating thats comfortable. Blessing to you and your family in 2024!

My word is " gratitude " 2023 was a year of healing for me personally and this year I just want to reflect on all the things that God has blessed me with...and even started a gratitude journal to record them. I'm also focusing on getting closer with God...we do attend a weekly Bible study with our friends on Fri nights...this round we are studying the parables...last round we did the book of Job...which was truly enlightening! But then daily I try and read a chapter in the Bible. I did luke last month and I've started Esther so far this month. 2022 was a super challenging year foe me. 2023 was healing for me and this year...I would just pray for it to be joy filled and filled with lots of peace! I have also been thinking about the time spent on my phone along the same lines as you were thinking . Please don't take this wrong and please don't send me nasty comments from viewers but i think about the time spent on u tube. That can quickly get out of hand, speaking for my self. I want to be more mi ndful of how much u tube I do watch and while watching my favorites to be more productive while i watch them. I commented on another channel about something i just a very respectful questioning way and got such a nasty comment back from a lady. It doesn't make me want to comment anymore. 23 was a year. Wow! Divorce, anxiety, depression, cancer, job loss, hernia - grew closer to the Lord, read the Bible through, much prayer, sweet vacation! All these came to our family. Good and bad - the Lord was there. He is faithful! This year I want to be ever mindful of the goodness of God and give Him praise and testify of all the good things to others.

God has given me 'Focus' for my word this year. I also want to read through the Bible. I have Asperger's and, as an adult, I find my head is often very overwhelmed. As a mum, wife and a teacher of special needs children I need to find that focus in my head. I lost my beloved mum in November and so this is the year of firsts for me. My goals for this year are very easy & simple so hopefully I can mix them in without noticing. 1, Drink more water! 2,less social media. 3,We have as I'm sure you do,words that have been used over hundreds of years but are fading out,my goal is to use words that my great grandparents would have used.( odd I know,but if things aren't used,they go,) 4,Travel more. 5,organise my time better to allow⬆️ said Travel. .... I took down my decorations today and what a big mess it makes! All cleaned up and packed away for another 12 months.
