Best way to clean up is to put up a temp fence and let Aaron's goats loose in there. All natural, all organic ... goats would have it perfectly clean in short order.

As all of those pine trees grow, that cemetery will really be lost - its fortunate (as with all of your videos) that you have documented it. Those marker symbols/designs are so unusual, interesting. Most born over 200 years ago. The facts land lottery, Native Americans, only 12 years settled, pausing in thought about all that. Robert, if you would, and if possible, can you increase your top tier of Patreon? It is sold out.

First, thank you all for what you do to honor those gone on before. Question. . .does the symbol on the corners of the headstone look like a half sundial ? Did you run across a T.K. or Tandy Key Daniel (1810-1881) ? He would be my 7th cousin and was married to Emoranda Miranda Burkhalter Daniel who was my 10th cousin, which begs the question. . .did cousin marry cousin ? I am really into genealogy as I am adopted. . .my birth Mom contacted me 5 years before she passed. She too was a genealogy researcher and left me quiet a bit of family history. . .it is interesting to see connections !! Being from Colorado, I didn't know there was family in Georgia. ..again, thank you for all you guys do (I'm glad to see the other Robert back. . .you all make quite a team !!) Be safe and Merry Christmas !!

Good work guys. My mother's family cemetery is still kept up in great condition w/yearly donations from ancestors. I used to help my grandfather keep the saw grass briars & grass/weeds mowed b4 I went to Nam. It has a few stacked stone rock graves dated back to 1840's. Slaves are buried in back. Other graves of ancestors are in Upson cty [served in War of 1812 hence land lottery there & in Lottery of 1832 for Cobb Cty Ga]. Others buried in Lincoln Cty, Wilkes Cty & Washinton Cty Ga. from land grants from Rev War. B4 that ancestors buried in Va at Christ Church in Middesex Va, King & Queen Cty Va. & New Kent Cty Va.1st ancestor came to St. Kitts [ Columbus's 1492 island St. Christophers] in 1635 [Sugar cane] then to Va ] in 1650, mainly Tobacco in Va & Cotton in Ga plantations.

Am I wrong, did I see a Hutchinson? There were many Pratts n Daniel but Hutchinson head stone was there. Wonder why? As you’ve visited a other cemeteries that had a lot of Hutchinson’s. Also curious with those markings on the head stones. Thinking these might be Native Americans? You’ll definitely have to find that one out. All the strange markings on the gravestone have me scratching my head. Could it have been a very religious community that isolated itself and the strange markings were part of their belief system? The carving at the top of the ‘stairs’ gravestone looks almost like a deer like creature. Wedigo perhaps? Another great video! Keep them coming! No doubt these people have not been thought about in a long time, and rightly so we are all thinking about them now. Thanks again.

When you said that there's no meaning to it there of course was a meaning to it it's just probably not one that made it into the books it looks like it was done very special and to somebody that was very very loved and they loved the Sun I think that's what that is in the corner so I think it's more personal than having somebody that makes headstones and carves them out if somebody that's doing it for a job I thought this was so much more special and I'm going to look into my ancestry because I have pratts from that area and at that time so thank you very much again for another wonderful episode I love your show so much but just wanted to let you know that it does mean something we just don't know I think I do. I need to go through it a few times and get down names and dates so thank you so much if I am by chance related I will have to let you know that's why I do watch a lot of these type of shows in this area because of my ancestors coming from that area. Maybe these two peoples got along with each other and they borrowed their markings. Extremely, extremely interesting. Maybe you can find out more about those markings and if they had rhyme or reason to them. This was an excellent video guys, excellent.

Beautiful tombstones for young children - so sad. The markings are so indicative of perhaps a family crest or religious beliefs. I researched Moravian cemeteries. Their tombstones are identical in size and information, as all Moravians were considered equal. The few I found had designs on the top corners. Perhaps these stones are from a Moravian settlement.

I am impressed with the high quality, size & impressive nature of most of these stones. The cost to have them made must have been rather large. Not familiar with this area of the country. Was it prosperous, well settled, very populated? Here in the midwest, these types of markers would have been rather rare, unless in a large city. Some group( church, community, social, etc.) should take clean up/ maintenance on as a project if local governing authorities are unable.
