A very interesting cemetery. The fog gave things a rather mystical appearance. Thanks for showing us this.

Robert always a pleasure to spend time with you, in these old cemeteries . You always show respect for the ones no longer with us. Sad to say, mother nature has her way, to hide the past.

I think those wooden markers are cool. Thank you, Robert and Cecil, for documenting all these forgotten graves. A wonderful job from you guys.

That strange cup was a mustache cup for shaving. The soap and brush mixed the lather up in the little cup on top. And clean water was kept in the bottom for rinsing the brush. Probably belonged to the man that was buried there.
@dixie30862 күн бұрын
I own two of those. I always thought they were for drinking from. To keep the mustache from getting in the drink.
@janscorza75492 күн бұрын
@ some are used for guys with mustaches to drink out of. But that one had little holes in the upper cup, don’t think that would keep the mustache very dry. But I don’t have a mustache so what do I know, lol.
@alanatolstad4824Күн бұрын
Interesting interpretation! The cup was originally intended to keep the mustache dry because those magnificent creations were waxed to maintain their glory, & the steam from the hot drinks would tend to melt the mustache wax! Hence, the guard!

My grandma had a collection of mustache cups. It is an interesting interpretation, as I always thought it was to keep the mustache from the beverage.
@janscorza754911 сағат бұрын
@@anjanettealexander3993 did the part for the mustache lay flat across the side or was it rounded like a cup, like the one they found? I do think it’s is a mustache cup and not a shaving cup. I just looked up the difference, but I’ve never seen one with a rounded mustache cover, usually flat.

Lol I think you meant to say the Night of the living dead! Love that classic film! But it is always beautiful to me on a foggy day to visit a cemetary. 😊 It does break my heart though with how many cemeteries/ resting places down there are lost... 😢

I think the cup is a mustache cup. The little shelf prevented the drink from getting the drinkers mustache from getting wet.

Very interesting that a burial took place as recently as 2017. I would be reluctant to do that to a family member knowing the cemetery is no longer maintained.

hey whatever that loud ticking noise was Robert, it was hard to hear you or cecil.
@AdventuresIntoHistory2 күн бұрын
The occasional tick sounds were caused by a glitch with the microphones. I was unable to fix it in post. I meant to mention that in the pinned comment.

Hello, I follow your videos, was wondering if there is anyone doing this kind of recording in Lawrence County Mississippi the Silver Creek area? Would love to know. Thanks so much.

Did the video loop back to the Reverend's plot for anyone else? My TV went back to it three times. I had to fast forward to get past it. Spooky. Maybe the spirit that lives in my house liked that part.

Will D2 dissolve that green moss off them concrete headstones
@AdventuresIntoHistory2 күн бұрын
I don’t think it will dissolve it exactly but I believe it would aid in cleaning it up. It may kill it and loosen it. I think it works on moss and stuff. I know it does staining and other growth but it may not be as effective on that stuff that’s rooted in the roughened surface of that concrete
