He was one of the greatest male actors of all time. He had an intensity and grace that was magnetic. As a little girl I had a crush on him♥️.....I just realized I still do. 🤗

Sidney Poitier is a true inspiration. He paved the way for African Americans in the movie business. In a time where you barely saw black people in movies. His Oscar victory was a true epic moment. And as a Latino, I pray that one day a Latin@ wins Best Actor and Best Actress

Honest Person I don’t understand why you’re saying this here. The people in this clip are acknowledging the respect they hold for Sidney. They know he forged the path for them. What you’re saying is aimed Sidney, and Sidney has ALWAYS given praise and honor to those who forged a path for HIM. He is clear in his acknowledgment of, and respect for, all who came before him. No one is dissing anyone. No one has forgotten anyone here. This was about Sidney, though, and what the people who came after him thought of HIM. please don’t take away from that honor by creating opinions and conflict where none exist.

John Bryan I think we have come to the day people are afraid to say how they feel..there is no longer free speech. When one person doesn’t allow another to express a dissenting opinion, we ALL have lost. Grateful for your words.
