He's an incredible man. He feels like crap but here he is with a Tux on looking elegant. That's what you call class. He's my favourite actor. He opened my eyes and made me look internally and question my morals and ideals. That's what makes him great.

What an incredible life force is Sidney Poitier!Leaving aside all his wonderful achievements and his goodness as a person, his physical presence, even at his very advanced aged, is astronomical. Through the internet we can observe the huge glowing light that beat inside of Sidney when he received the Oscar in 1964. He was a truly beautiful young man then. As he has aged, that physical beauty has never diminished.

The power of one's life can often be measured by that individual's impact on others. Sidney's influence is immeasurable because of the lives that were touched not by just his movies, but also by the artists who benefited from Sidney's brilliance. You see that in the eyes of many younger artists in that room.
