The most important thing is not addressed. The editing workflow. It's insane the latest version 5.0 studio only last month added in multiclip editing which is madness. Using premier pro with the gopro plugin is also a pain cos of how slow PP renders and processes the insta360 propriety files. I have about 500GB of X3 footage i hope maybe to edit by version 6.0 of the PC studio version. In 2026 maybe

Well I didn’t have time to talk about it, but you can use Quick Edit and AI Edit to use Deep Track and edit from the Insta360 Studio app. I’ll make a workflow video talking about it soon

THANK YOU - for NOT Calling this an ACTION CAMERA! Thank you for using it like a normal person would and showing that it "might" be useful - THANK YOU - for showing the FEAR IN YOUR HEART when you dropped it and the fist thought was the SUPER FRAGILE lenses and if they broke. Since they WILL if you use it as an ACTION CAM. Which all these "influencers" are doing since they have FREE CAMERAS from insta360. These things are the most FRAGILE lenses - the Len guards dont work - and they ruin the footage - no one uses them - the cams are cool to walk around with - beyond that - you are starting down a $99+ repair bill plus about 8weeks of time (if they get back to you quickly.......which they normally dont). So really it's a 12 week repair turnaround.

No the lens guards of the X4 are actually really good since they are screw on instead of glue. And also they are producing a premium version out of glass.

Hi Sidney, i just purchased this camera and have been struggling to get it to not look a bit blurry or out of focus. I noticed that with the sharpness at low it looks like that and with the Sharpness set to medium it looks a tiny bit too sharp and the edges of my video look a bit distorted or grainy. I have the bitrate set to high, the codec at H.264 using the insta360 PC software and its with the lens guards off because it looks much worse with them on. Is my camera perhaps defective out of the box? I got it at bestbuy so i can indeed exchange it for another one. Ive yet to hear from insta360 tech support for help. Any clue would be very helpful.

Hi Sidney! I've never owned an Insta360 camera before and I want to get this one but I have a growing concern. I've been seeing videos featuring this new camera, but with editing (angles, etc...), on iPhones. Is the camera compatible with ONLY the iPhone? If so, unfortunately, I'll have to pass it up. It’s not too bad. If it’s too windy, then you’ll def hear the wind. You can use any nice as long as it’s plugged into the mic adapter

Buyer beware on all these videos - this is KZbinr influencer at its HIGHEST - the embargo has lifted - there are 50 videos out there about this "ACTION CAMERA" - and what NONE OF THEM TELL YOU - is that these lenses are DELICATE - like you WILL SCRATCH the lens in snow - or on a bike trail - or a dropping it on a table - and then - it will cost (at least it did on previous models) $99 to fix it - or all your footage will have a smudge from the scratch. Also - you have to write an email to them explaining it - then wait 4 weeks for a reply - then fill out a form and pay the $99 plus shipping - to CHINA - then - wait another 4 weeks - until you get our camera back.....ALL of these videos got a FREE camera - and then went snowboarding - and if they had to pay $500 for the camera - then another $99 if they dropped it in the snow - which WILL scratch it - they would not use it. The lens guards dont work - in fact I had one scratch my actual lens when the camera hit the ground while not even snowboarding - SLEDDING on a bunny hill! BUYER BEWARE! These are just commercials for free cameras given to influencers.

The artifacts are bad. The color science is slightly off, although this looks like it was edited some in post. I doubt you introduced artifacts in the video. Game changing isn't the word I would have used on their release video. Unfortunately, same sensor same results. Low light, not good... 1RS isn't very good at low light nor at removing the artifacts. Highly disappointing tbh. All this time for 8k and it's on the same half inch sensor.

@@SidneyDiongzon Its not the best camera they have made. Best consumer maybe but we use their pro camera's in the studio I work in. Not in the same catergoy but not the best they made. That being said, buddy got his from best buy last night, went and watched day and night video and it was exactly the same. My problem is youtube shills for 1, and 2. The fact they claim this is game changing. It's not, it's marginally better than the X3. TBH as you and I know both owning X2/X3's - the video actually looks stellar on an ipad or 4k screen FROM THE APP. Another con they have not figured out a way to export what you see is what you get. My Pocket 1/2/3 footage is that way. Looks good in camera, looks good on youtube. Just saying that their should be truth in advertising, not excuses as to why it looks bad. It looks bad because of the camera. Lacking an updated sensor, lacking good color science, hell - even the stitching issues I noticed not just on my buddies camera last night but in reviewers footage.

You don't get an unbiased review because reviewers want the next camera for free, so of course you wont' say anything bad. BTW.. Color science is important, if you watch many of the reviewers video you can see a huge color shift while their are using the camera. Skintones go from someone that looks amazing to looking dead. Not the youtbers fault but it should be pointed out that the camera isnt exactly as game changing as "insta claims it is". Log profile would be great but if the footage is bad from the start, you wont get much more out of it. HDR for sure.. but see previous comment. 8K on a sensor ..... ah you get it. Just wish they were honest.

Do NOT buy this camera expecting to blog with it! The quality of the video you get is almost acceptable in very bright light, with no lens protection and highest settings possible. If you shoot in slightly lower lighting conditions, sunset, sunrise, anything indoor that is not a highly lit studio, the quality of the footage is crap! You cannot use it as an action cam as it produces much MUCH crappier video than a 5 year old GoPro. Basically it's a me me cam for sports in highly lit scenes, nothing else! I just got mine and am very disappointed. Will probably return it! (not my first 360 cam).

Darn this cam is less than average with clever advertising and micro influencer manipulation 192k subscribers and just 1.5K likes. WIth the few likes and comments (to subscribers) from 192k subscribers - this channel is suspicious. @google wake up to useful content and interaction.
