Hello, Thank you for your video, this has been very helpful for me determining how to proceed with purchasing the best package based on my trading practices if I chose Sierra Charts. The one question I have not been able to find an answer, is which Order Flow package should I consider when I am only interested in trading US Stocks and Options? My experience is not with Futures or FOREX, so want to stick with my comfort level and experience. Thoughts?

Options are not available on Sierra. You’d have to find another platform for it. I personally don’t have experience with options so can’t really recommend anything.

Pay a few extra and get package 12 and you’re good for anything. Makes everything easier. Plus customer support seems to give you priority.

I am not a big DOM trader so for me the Market by Order option is not really worth it, but yeah some people might find it useful.

Yes, but you'll need to have a CQG connection set up for trading through Sierra Chart. You'd want to still have package 10, 11 or 12 to get the Denali feed.

You can use FXCM. In the USA I believe Gain Capital is the spot forex broker that works with it.

Can you put moving averages in the TPO charts in package 10?

No. The TPO charts only allows a few indicators to be plotted on it like Volume Profiles, Countdown Timer, Clock and Current Price Line.

I still have accounts with both. I just use them at different times. The commissions are pretty similar with both and they are great with Sierra Chart.

No problem. Both are great companies. And I am not just saying that to shill them, cause it's actually not allowed to get monetary incentives to promote futures brokers in the US. I have also used Tradovate which was good too. I really like the online dashboard Tradovate has, and they allow ACH deposits and withdrawls. The problem with Tradovate is they work through CQG data, so you have to pay like $15/month for a plug in to be able to use on Sierra Chart. So using EdgeClear or Stage 5 with Denali and Teton order routing is a lot better quality connection and cheaper.

If I can't open a trading account to use the "non professional" do you recommed buying the CME E-mini which costs 75$ or the regular CME that costs 140$? I only want to be trading mainly the Emini NQ, but I just don't know the difference. Thank you.

You probably just need just cheaper one if your only focus is in indexes like NQ. Check to see what instruments the cheaper one includes.

Sierra has much better TPO and Vol Profile. No comparison. Where BM shines is how the order book comes to life overlaid on the price action. Sierra can do this as well if you have MBO data. But Sierra can’t beet BM at what BM is good at. Footprint, TPO, Profile go with Sierra. For BM order book visuals it’s BM all the way. Won’t hurt to have both. They complement each other.

Live CME data is different from Denali? I thought having Denali was a live feed.

It is different. Denali is just the internal data setup for Sierra Chart. CME data fees goes directly to CME, not Sierra. CME is one of many data exchanges you can use through Denali.

Spot forex data is free. You can use package 5 if you want. For currency futures on the cme you do need live cme data and package 11. If you don’t need market depth tools you can even just use the basic package 3.

It's all personal preference. I don't think it is necessary for me. 11 is more than enough to see all the resting orders, recent bid/ask, pulling/stacking.

I hear Investor RT is great but there is so little on the web about it. Sierra has a huge community and tons of support and YT videos. Investor RT = almost nothing. I struggled with the Sierra or RT question for weeks. Pulled trigger on Sierra just because I saw so much more community support.

Sierra is just on another level. It hurts to use Ninja compared to Sierra. But if AbleTrend is worth it, I’ll have to live with the quirks of Ninja.

With package 5 you get advanced features like Market depth, footprint, etc. but you cannot get live CME data with package 5. You need 11 for that.

I chose ‘Service Package 11 - Integrated Advanced’ so I can trade US30/YM (either) but I am using Sierra only to analyze and do entries on MT5. Will this setup work? Trial had like 10 minutes delay, will Denali Exchange Data Feed included in this package also have delays? Pls help

I go over the general setup for it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGSxmX1ogKyVqLM. Yes you need an advanced package like 11 to have Denali data and be able to get live futures CME data for the YM. But unless you also pay for CME data you will have a 10 minute delay. In order to qualify for the cheaper $12/month CME non pro data (as opposed to like $120/month for pro data), you need to have a live account with an approved broker. Check the video, even though it is meant for funding company type accounts that use Rithmic data, it still applies the same principle to get live data for futures on Sierra Chart.

I mean the best and true data will be YM from CME which is the centralized exchange where the contract is from. It seems like maybe you'd be better off trading the US30 CFD. But then in that case you can't get accurate volume information from it.
