It's cool that for Hero Quest/Quest for Glory (I wonder which title they translated) they took the time to redraw the signs into Japanese characters, even the animated title screen (but not the subtitle for some reason). It seems like that wasn't the norm looking at these others, but glad they took some effort for a great game.

Seeing Space Quest IV on a Japanese system makes me yearn for some voice acting, with perhaps Norio Wakamoto as the narrator.

Really interesting to see the differences, it funny that they censored the alien dissolving 🤣

I don't think they censored it, the alien never dissolved in the disk version, I'm guessing for space restrictions.

@@swempytimes That would be a very interesting study, including what sort of things were lost (or left out of) the translations. Hope for a bilingual sierra fan who wants to show off that sort of thing.
