I'm jewish and its very nice to see you celebrating Hannukah. a little explanation for those who dont know what hannukah is :) Hanukkah (Chanukah) celebrates the Jewish victory over the Syrian-Greek superpower in the second century BCE, during the time of the Second Holy Temple. It also celebrates the miracle of a little oil that lasted eight days. It is also known as the Festival of Lights.

The jelly donuts are called sufganiya. The meaning is literally "absorbing" because of all the oil it absorbs but fresh ones are worth it (; Also, "menora" means "lamp". Literaly.
