Love the kitchen there. This is the way of it here in Ireland. The kitchen is far far more than a food preparation area. It is the heart of the home, where we cook, eat and relax. That is as it is where I live now.

The market is different and the capital gains tax on second homes means that there is not too much "flipping" and increasing prices through it. Also France does not have a shortage of housing in most areas. Good luck with persuading your husband :)
