Sifting some mealworm frass

I had a bunch of trays that needed to have the frass sifted out. Here I used my sifting setup to sort sizes and frass.

Is a 20 mesh sufficient to separate frass from eggs? Or do you need 30 mesh?

I use 1/30, but I sell my frass and want it to be as free of substrate as possible. A 1/20 works, could let extremely small mealies through.

What size sifters are you using. I already had 1/4 and 1/8 for something else. I bought the 1/30 for frass. I think I need something in between.

A #10 mesh is likely what you want, its what I use to harvest the sellable worms.

Sorry I missed this. I use wheat bran and water gel crystals for the mealworms.
