That death counter marks the amount of years taken off your age when you die, it stacks if you keep dying in an encounter and goes down by defeating tougher enemies.

That’s because Dark Souls is just bullshit.. I know that’s the unpopular opinion but sue me lol. Games like this, Jedi Fallen Order, Sekiro are all challenging but fun. There’s always a way to get by once you learn, and then you can get better. In Dark Souls your forced to be 100% perfect all the time from the moment you start playing. Games like I just mentioned are structurally designed to get your feet wet and learn while still holding a good challenge level. I’m lovinggg this game

@@danquaza9275 i don't wanna lower the value of your opinion because i can't really judge or call you a BaD GaMeR JuSt BeCaUsE YoU CoULdN't HaNdLe DaRk SoULs, if you had a bad experience with those games, that's okay. But if you played Sekiro, i just don't know how you got that vision out of Dark Souls. Souls games definitely are NOT the type of game that demands you to be a god at it's combat and exploration mechanics just to get out of the first area. It works just like Sekiro: sure, the game is hard and it will beat you to death pretty easily if you don't put effort into learning the mechanics, but it's never impossible and it's not like the first few areas of the game will punish you relentlessly. They all are designed in a way to make you LEARN, while still punishing you for making dumb mistakes. Dark Souls is all about being patient, observant, experimental with everything you find, open to learn things and accepting that death is part of the journey, but the latter is no surprise for you of course. In fact, compared to Sekiro and mainly Sifu, Dark Souls is the one that offers the most options to make your gameplay easier from the get go; MAGIC builds, items that open doors you should've access to waaay far into the middle-game, shields that tanks 100% of physical damage, MAGIC shields, overpowered armour sets that tanks almost everything, coop, MAGIC weapons, poison builds, knowing and abusing of elemental weaknesses ALL bosses have... and the list goes on. Dark Souls isn't the seven-headed beast people talk about

To make the game “easier” you need to spend crazy amounts of time speccing the perfect set, use every soul perfectly, and frankly there’s just no room for error. At least a game like this has some wiggle room to learn. I played Demons Souls and got pretty far, but that’s only because of the way you can basically over level yourself and keep going back to level up. I had to spend days grinding to get my stats to a point where I wasn’t being constantly slaughtered… it’s just to demanding for me lol

The game has little to no content and it’s “mastery” motto is used as an excuse for the lack of content. This isn’t worth over $20 max. The Souls games at the very least have content and are popular for a reason while this game will fade into obscurity within a few months at the most. This roguelike compared to Hades shows how inferior this game actually is to it in terms of its mechanics and how they’re implemented to make the game less repetitive. Sifu is incredibly repetitive with little to offer in return for “mastering” it

Try to get ground counter for Sean's second phase, and just down sway (or dodge or whatever you want to call it, the block + down thing) every one of his attacks. The one that knock you down, you can turn around on him by parrying when he tries to hit you. Makes the fight a whole lot easier

Adding to what the other guy said, dodging is your friend here. Turn the match against him time your parries to increase his stagger without lowering his health, you can completely avoid his on fire phase if you work on his structure bar rather than his health!
