bikeracerdude Me and you both! It ran through 200 rounds perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with the new trigger. Oh yeah, and I can take apart and put it back together.

I really hope my sig comes back with a functional trigger and no jams. I got my upgrade back with a dead trigger after first problematic diss/ass

So sorry to hear that. It's crazy frustrating, I know. Hope it turns out for you the second trip back to them!

I have original factory 320 pre voluntary "upgrade". It's smooth. I know, I know. Dangerous. I'm not worried to much about dropsies.

I bought the P-320 Sub-compact. Fired 100 rounds right out of the box with zero issues. I Love it and the small grip frame fits me well! God I hated my Glock 26 even after I switched out the horrible Glock sights with Tru-Glo TFX sights. Ok, I'll carry the Sig and Glock goes to standby.

I've never been a Glock fan either. I know they have their diehards, but I'm not one of them. They just don't fit my hand. I'm looking for a new daily carry gun and even though the Shield and several Glock single-stacks are good guns, I'm seriously taking a hard look at the 320 Sub. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

Ive ran into this issue with other guns before, namely my glock 40 mos. Its a problem that tended to go away after firing a fair amount of shots and it wore in and became easier to assemble
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
I will say that since this second trip back to the factory, it is shooting much better. I have run several hundred rounds through it since this video and it's just as smooth as butter. The slide is going on and off great now that I've run some rounds through it.

Did you do the drop test after the upgrade?
@TXSuburbanHomestead6 жыл бұрын
I did. I simulated it with a hammer strike. No issues whatsoever. However, I should say that mine never had any issues to begin with. I tried it before the upgrade when the controversy came about and never could get it to fire with a simulated drop.

I have been following your Sig P320 adventure since your post when your roller coaster ride began. I am happy Sig finally got yours where you are pleased with it. I got myself a P320 C in .357 sig for Christmas in 2017. Purchased it through Bud's Gun's, got it for a really great price, went to pick it up at a local shop, She's a Pistol and when they unboxed it they said it was filthy and "nobody would ever walk out of their store with anything in this shape." They cleaned it before I left and they were just doing the FFL part of the transaction. It shot very well and fit my hand like a glove. Then came the upgrade. Again, This thing was full of metal shavings, machining oil and black fingerprints that showed up well on the FDE finish with a nice shiny squiggly line running on top of the slide half its length. The slide was stiff and felt gritty and on the bottom rear right corner all of the FDE finish was gone from an area about an eighth of an inch. After cleaning it thoroughly, it was back to normal. After 200 rounds of flawless performance, the underside of the slide was showing a wear pattern on one side as I have seen happen on other upgraded guns. Has anyone else received a firearm from Sig that looked like it was left sitting under a milling machine for a week and then shoved in a box and shipped? Love this P320 but they have at least one machinist that could use some tuning up himself.

Mine wasn't that bad, but it wasn't clean by any measure. I have noticed the beginnings of some wear on the bottom of my slide like you mentioned. It's still running great now, but it wasn't a smooth process either. Hope yours turns out for the better.

I just got my sig back on 4-9-18 and I'm having a really hard time breaking it down and reassembling it. I can't even remove my take down lever from the lower. Also when assembled and I rack the slide to engage the trigger my slide wont go forward completely without me pushing it forward a bit with my thumb. It feels like its hanging up on something. I guess I'm going to have to call in and send it back. I'm afraid to even try and shoot it at this point.
@TXSuburbanHomestead6 жыл бұрын
Your experience sounds very similar to my original. My first 2 videos on this topic sound very similar in that I couldn't get the slide on/off. If you want to take a look at one of those, maybe we've had the same problem and sending it back can fix your issue as well. Thanks for watching & good luck.

They did something, but didn’t want to say...lol! Loose tolerances are sometimes better....
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
It's the AK model. Loose tolerances that lead to fewer breakdowns... Whatever they did, it's running like crazy now. At this point, they could have just prayed over it and I'll be fine with it...

I'm on 6 weeks now & i'm still waiting. Got second thoughts about sending mine in. I work for a large police agency & we were issued the P320 full. I noticed the same problem when I dissasembled my issued P320. Should I be concern?

Hi, just bought a 320 by a private party. I want to send it to Sig for the upgrade. Any thing I should check on the gun before I ship her out?
@TXSuburbanHomestead6 жыл бұрын
If it doesn't have the update already, no. If you're not sure if it's got the upgrade, you can check to see if you have that disconnector and it it's a relatively flat-panel trigger. The old trigger is really round.

Tx, As a fellow Southpaw, I'd be curious to know if you've tried the newer Gen2 lower profile slide lock... I read that for Lefties, the one you and I have is actually preferable because it has a better feel.
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
I actually did try one on Saturday when I was at the range. Not actually firing, but just in the store. I wasn't that crazy about the location of it. I wasn't sure if it was because I've got such big hands or what, but it didn't seem to be in a very natural spot for me. I was also looking at the subcompact, but I guess that wouldn't really make that that much difference because the slide lock would be in the same place, I guess... But really, southpaws can't be too picky, can we? I was looking at carry guns and literally none of the single stacks had ambi controls.
@bikeracerdude7 жыл бұрын
Rumor is Sig might have a new striker fired single stack coming...
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
I'd be first in line to take a look. I'm in the market for a new small carry gun. I know the ambi controls aren't really that big of a deal, or at least that's what all the right-handed salesmen at the stores try to convince me of...

How cool would it be to have reversible ejection ports on the P320 and AR-15 rifles?!

It would be pretty sweet to not have to have spent rounds ejected across your face.

Previous video U pulled the trigger with the slide off which raised the disconnector even more. U didnt do that in this followup. Maybe its inconsequential as in the prev video the disconnector was already a little bit up, much more than the almost flush to the rail look it had in this video. But I would still like to see what happens NOW if U pull the trigger with the slide off. You did say "now lets try pulling the trigger" but it was with the slide still on. Still on the fence about this recall(upgrade my ass). I like the dry fire click the pre"upgrade" models have and U lose that. I also feel like they rushed all these "upgrades" and arent getting the milling and additional parts put in with the same care as original manufacturing.(Nobody likes rework). Case in point....YOUR 320. As well as the variances seen in different peoples slides.

i watched this shortly after you posted it and didn't notice this the 1st time, but now, after watching it again, i just noticed that sig's "gunsmith comments" was a real cheap shot. not trying to sig-bash, i really like sigs, but i think it's pretty rude of them to state on the work order that they "cannot duplicate customers [sic] claim". that comes across to me that they are blowing you off by implying that this post-recall problem that you had was all in your head. however, it's obvious that they did something to fix the issue because the gun now functions properly during the breakdown/re-assembly steps. ... anyway.... sorry 'bout the rant. to end on a more positive note, thanks for the great vids and for allowing us to "see" the progression of this recall process.
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
That's exactly the way I read it. I didn't want to Sig-bash either, but that's always the way I feel when someone puts that in the comments on something I send in to get worked on. Thanks for the rant and the encouragement! I really do appreciate you taking the time to write an encouraging word.

Late to the party, I know! Don't ya love the notes they send back? If there was nothing wrong with the gun and it was within factory specs - WHY did the smith take it apart. Makes no sense doughnut?
@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
Phil Garcia it drives me absolutely insane when there’s obviously something wrong but the technician won’t admit it. “Cannot replicate the problem” is painting with a broad brush for my taste.
@4d4Spl7 жыл бұрын
Smiths can't write. They spelled take down wrong. Maybe they meant the problem couldn't be duplicated 'AFTER' the gun was fixed so a replacement serial number wouldn't be necessary. Years ago, I sent in a German P220 with a broken extractor that I had bought used. They fixed it and refinished my slide.

@TXSuburbanHomestead7 жыл бұрын
Loose, I don't know, but not completely immovable, yes. I shot the p10c recently and it does have a good trigger, but I don't think it's as good as this Sig upgrade or the VP9, but it's better than the old 320 trigger and right on par with the M&P 2.0 for sure.
