I use my TX22 just to have fun at the gun range. I only paid $250 for my TX22. At this time I don't see a good reason to purchase the Sig. Thanks again for the excellent video.

I like sig, but their screws suck. Rounded off multiple screws on p365xl stock optics plate/ rear sight trying to get them undone with the included allen wrench. Customer service told me that I should have sent the gun to them to have the screws removed... they gave me a ration of shit but eventually sent replacement screws... the last ones that got rounded I just decided to leave the red dot on instead of switching back and forth.

I recently purchased the Sig P322 hoping I would end up with a good one after a lot of negative reviews. Mine was made in Jan 2023 so I knew I had a better chance with some of the changes they had made and knowing a few friends who have the 'newer generation' were having no issues. All I can say is that this pistol has become my number one 22LR pistol beating my TX22 competition in every way. It has had 0 FTF, 0 FTE, 0 light primer strkes running with suppressor for the first 1000 rounds. It shoots MUCH more accurately (grapefruit size groups standing at 25 yards) than my TX22. The groups with the TX22 at 25 yards open up quite a bit more. Running holoson 407k on Sig and Vortex Venom on TX22. Both guns are equally as reliable and has eaten everything I tried which include Aguila HV copper RN 1255 fps, Norma Tac 22 1100 fps, Federal American Eagle 970 fps, CCI SV 1070 fps, and CCI Quiet 835 fps. Only time I had light primer strikes with both was when I ran the CCI quiet 835 fps without suppressor (out of 20, maybe 2 wouldn't cycle). This pistol is awesome!

I checked on the Taurus website. Besides the optics adapter plate that comes with the TX 22 C, you can also get a polymer Picatinny rail that will mount in place of the adapter plate, or a polymer plain cover if you want to remove the adapter plate and not bother with mounting an optic.

Awesome comparison, another thing that I like about the TX22C is the fact that it has a bull barrel. Comparing to a normal one, it really doesn't heat up quickly at all. Unless I missed the part, I don't think that it was mentioned as a plus over the P322.

I have been looking at the P322 but I have the TX22 Competition and just installed the Tandemkross Victory trigger. That one upgrade eliminated the biggest weakness of the TX22...the trigger. I also added the base plate extensions on the mags. I don't feel the need to buy the P322 since my TX22 has no feed issues with any ammo and shoots fantastic with the new trigger. I have heard that some people are having issues with ftf and fte issues with some ammo in the P322. The Sig looks like a great gun and is more affordable than the FN 502 which also has had issues. I plan to wait on the 2nd generation to see what if any changes are made. Thanks for the video!

THIS is the video I’ve been waiting for! Thanks man. It’s not an easy choice. I prefer the smaller grip and capacity of the SIG, but the TX’s recent track record is great as is trigger. Neither is a very small gun (like the SR22, P17, and other polymer plinkers). Too bad Taurus didn’t design a 22rd mag for such a big grip (but I really thought we’d see an aftermarket 20rd mag for the G44 by now).
@gregorychu13802 жыл бұрын
You can buy magazine extensions for the TX22; Tandemkross makes +5 extensions while Galloway Precision has +3 and +9 extensions. Regarding the glock 44, there are 18 round magazines available, but I imagine many people don't bother considering it's made by Promag. I think we haven't seen much aftermarket support for the 44 since it hasn't sold as well as centerfire glocks. The 44 is more expensive than its competitors, has fewer features (unthreaded barrel, 10 round magazines) and reviews of the gun by well known guntubers were mixed.
@jedcoupland85872 жыл бұрын
Ah yeah. The non-threaded barrel is kind of a deal-breaker for me as I'm not spending an extra $150 on a barrel. I don't like the extended baseplates (make it too big), but I love the thinner followers (like the +3 for the SR22).

Good deal for the son. 👍 But don't be surprised if you end up with another TX22. The TX22 REALLY eats all ammo and extremely reliable. To make matters worse, I got an e-mail today on a 502 recall and will have to send it in. Don’t have hundreds of rounds out of any of them……all cycled about the same. I did put fiber optic sights on the Taurus. The Ruger is noticeably smaller, but is very nice in the hand very nice to fire. There is a pancake holster that makes it VERY comfortable to carry. My score on it….B+ The Taurus fits my hand really well….love the new sights. Fires without flaw. Trigger is excellent. Also has a very nice pancake holster. My score on it….A The newest is the Sig 322. Close, but not QUITE as comfortable as the Taurus. Very similar feeling. Love the 20 rd mags and sights are very, very nice. I had one feed problem on my very first mag…..then it ran flawlessly. ( you need to load the mags with a bit of care…..and at about 18-19 rounds, they’re comfortably full ) I would give this one…….an A- I am a Sig snob with Ruger tendencies. If I had to choose just one ? Tough call…..but it would be the Taurus TX 22.

I'm on the fence. Is the pic rail on the Sig the normal Sig special rail? Did the longer bull barrel on the TX22 make any difference? Also the TX22 doesn't need an adapter for a can. A few thoughts. Why didn't you mention suppressor use? That is huge right now. And on the Sig the red dot mounts on the slide, separate from the barrel. Any slop, and there has to be some slop, will effect accuracy. The TX has the sight mounted directly on the barrel. Better repeatable accuracy.

In the long run I think Sig will have issues with that internal hammer the same way they have had issues with the 320 and 365.

Howso? And neither gun you mentioned has an internal hammer (but many good 22 plinkers do).

Can you do the sig p322 vs fn 502?
@llamagetchya41182 жыл бұрын
So. Sig did the ground work making a mag with r&d.. now someone needs to design a ruger mark lower that utilizes the new sig 20 mags.

That would be the shiiiiiznit!!! A Ruger 22/45 MK IV with the threaded bull barrel and 25 round Sig P322 Mags….OMG that would be sweet!!!

@llamagetchya41182 жыл бұрын
@@cluckbent6466 unfortunately sr22's do suck. Now a month later i now have a p322 and it's a fun shooter for my wife, but the kids and I like the suppressed mark III with red dot. Would be awesome for a markiii or iv to take these sig mags. I'd definitely sell the p322 and keep the higher capacity magazines for the mark series.

I will stick with my Taurus TX22 and wait for a larger mag capacity to come. But looks like SIG isn't a bad choice either

Thanks for the review. I’m wondering why you didn’t utilize some paper targets and sit at the bench and test them both for accuracy. For me, that’s one of the most critical considerations when purchasing a gun. I’m sure I’m not alone in this.Also, I’d like to see an accuracy test between both of these and a new Ruger Mark IV Hunter.. I’m pretty sure that the Ruger would “spank” the other two like a Ukrainian soldier would spank a Fascist Russian soldier….

I bought the P17 a couple weeks back and took it out with the TX-22 and Both ran everything i ran . 4 types of 22 ammo, 36, 40 hp all ran fine in BOTH , they are light easy racking and easy to shoot and as accurate as I am anyhow.

@@bobkirkpatrick4638 yea I have the TX-22 and it works as well as the bulk ammo I have will allow. I just thought that one deserved a shout out in this comparison seeing it's in the same category.

The Sig is very accurate but after seeing all the videos on how reliable they are, my P322 must be a lemon. I get at least 4 to 6 failures to feed every session even with hundreds of rounds through it. I have yet to have any issue with the TX22 Competition I got the same week. If you are looking for a high capacity 22, the TX22 is the better choice based on my experience. My Beretta 87 and Neos will shoot all day without a failure.

I TX22 jams 2 to 3 times per magazine it’s now on his third trip back to Taurus they did not fix it in the first two trips.
@AlSimon2 жыл бұрын
Most people, including me had this problem until learning to correctly load the magazines. Since I did, I have not had one jam. The cartridges have to stagger side to side and point slightly upward in the magazine.

@@AlSimon Thank you so much for replying I really appreciate it. I think the TX22 trigger is leaps and bounds better than the sig. That short tactile reset makes it super-fast. I dare say race gun fast.
@pickin4you2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but I hate it when someone blames the cartridge for their problems. If those were center fires, and your shot steel challenges with them, you would. E shooting match grade ammo out of them. You cannot expect any semi auto .22lr to shoot flawless when you have Golden Bullets, Automatch and wildcats on your bench. Shoot some good ammo and you won’t have any stoppages. Nothing cheaper than Mini Mags. People blame the .22lr, when I am 61 and have never had a single stoppage in any semi auto .22lr I have ever owned. I also have never shot anything FB cheaper than Mini Mags through them. I am not that stupid. I also put $400 scopes on my $200 .22 rifles. I don’t go cheap their either. Stop using the excuse that is the cartridge just because you are too cheap t buy good ammo. Sorry to be so blunt, but I have been hearing this excuse for way too many years.
@johnkeisterelquattro25532 жыл бұрын
The problems he had were due to cheap ammo…. So what’s wrong with blaming the cheap ammo???? If he said “Well the trigger pull of this gun sucks, but that’s because of the cheap ammo…. Then your statement would make just a LITTLE bit of sense.

I've bought guns for just the trigger pull alone. That's why I bought the the regular TX22 (before the competition model came out) & love it. Love the better trigger of the TX22, has better capacity than most others, reliable (for a .22), & is easy to suppress it as it comes with a threaded barrel adapter. Has rear adjustable sights as well as a pic rail. Tough to beat the TX22 with all it has to offer. It does need cleaning after every range session to keep it running reliably.
