I’ve had my mp15-22 for a few years, 5k+ rounds through it. I absolutely love it. Customizable and cheap to shoot, easier for newer shooters to learn fundamentals without large recoil/noise.

If I'd known how this gun takesdown I'd never own it. Anyone got anything they wanna trade? I don't like guns that aren't simple to takedown. Call me crazy but i like the Taurus Tx22 so much better.

A very good in-depth comparison. I have two of the M&Ps and love them. I've wondered about the Mossberg. I like Mossberg as a company and the 715 will fit a niche in the market. I'll stick with my M&Ps for the AR15 experience and training at a lower cost.

My SD9VE actually cost more than my first gen M&P9 LEO trade-in. I love the fact that they are cross compatable with all the holsters ive tried. Even the Safariland with the ejection port latch locks in perfectly on both guns.

I took this Taurus out yesterday and it fired BEAUTIFULLY! As far as the disassembly, you might want to say why you have to pull the trigger before you pull down on the tab. I realized that if you don't pull the trigger, there is something obstructing the slide from moving forward and it will not disassemble. And yes, I have found that all handgun owners manuals are completely useless. Thank you for having the best video on disassembly for this Taurus.

P17 vs TX22? Not even close. The P17 is lighter, but we now have the TX22 compact, a smaller and slightly lighter package.

Thank you very much ive been trying to verify I did call Taurus and get my manufacture date was sometime in 2024 cant remember actual date got to excited and didn't write down but after doing first clean before shooting i think the rifling looks like shit and am still not very hopeful on this barrel and already picked one out on lakeline just in case i must say i have several Taurus handguns and the.22 is the slopiest looking barrel fit and finish is GREAT on handgun everything else is cherry usually on Taurus its opposite (slide points will be sloppy ETC.) but the most important part is sloppy on this .22 a bit disappointed wish i would have gotten GEN 2 but wasn't available

Great comparison video. I have both, the take down 10/22 and the M&P 15. Regarding the polymer parts, my days of playing-out combat scenarios are past, friendly recreational shooting with friends is my interest, therefore polymer parts don't get thrashed and the lower weight is welcomed reminder of my army days during Vietnam without the return fire. I particularly like the M&P's fully functional bolt lock and traditional safety. While it's not identical to my M-16, location of controls and appearance feels familiar.

I have a 22 caliber Ruger LCP2. It wont accept Aguila ammo. In fact I wont get off a shot. The gun will jam every time. When using CCI Stingers I'll get at least 3 misfeeds with every magazine. With CCI minimags I'll get at least one misfeed every 20 rounds. The only 22 ammo that I know of to where I've fired 100 rounds with no problem, is CCI 40 grain standard velocity and American Eagle 45 grain.

Thank you very much; your video had a lot of what I was looking for. The one thing that is still not clear to me is how the bullet gets from the magazine into the gun....is the slide open, or closed (I'm guessing closed) and what is the action that actually moves the bullet. Also, and perhaps you have another video that shows this, it would be interesting to know more about the various types of guns and what they are best used for. I am wanting to protect my home and that is my only reason for getting a gun. Again, thank you!

That’s a good sale price for your area? I don’t buy 22LR factory ammo unless it’s $.05 or less, even in today’s market. We have a store that’s called Bimart, on Tuesday they had Winchester copper plated HP 333 rd box for $16. And that’s in a liberal controlled state even (Oregon), but we don’t have ammo at Walmart anymore. This store almost always beats any local shop or warehouse for prices, and even competes with online sales other than bulk. There CCI Blazer 9mm 115gr is on sale for $20 for 50rds, been awhile to see factory 9mm get to $.20/rd.
