Thanks very much, Chris, for a really good tutorial on installing the MCarbo flat trigger, as well as your trigger spring kit. I’m 72, and the P 365 is my first gun ever of any kind. I really like the gun, and I concealed-pocket-carry it most days. But, at the range, I found its trigger too stiff and difficult to pull for my taste. So, when I discovered MCarbo’s CNC trigger, I bought it, as well as the trigger spring kit. I really liked your video talking about what MCarbo went through designing it, and I was encouraged by your step-by-step instructions and the clear video of the process. It was pretty easy to follow, with one exception being when you put in the safety lever pin. I initially put it in rotated around about 90° from where it should have been, and I didn’t see how its lip needed to go over the small vertical projection on the back end of the takedown safety lever. This, of course, kept the gun from operating when I put it back together. The other thing that confused me was that you didn’t show what to do with my manual safety. But, after carefully observing how it worked, I was able to remove it, then later replace it. Since it partially covers the sear parts, I figured (correctly) that it should go in last. The other thing I found, with my gun, at least, was that when the trigger set screw had two threads showing, that that was too high, and it kept the trigger from being pulled far enough to fire the gun. So, I backed off the set screw, and now the trigger is smooth as butter. Now, I’m as excited as you are, and I can’t wait to get to the range and burn through some ammo! Thanks to my MCarbo brothers (I’m a USN enlisted veteran ‘69-‘73) for being there-and here in my home town of Clearwater, FL, no less!!

Installed this and the mcarbo spring kit on a new p365 with oil and no PTFE grease and the 10 pull average went from 7lbs 2oz to 4lbs 11oz. the wall is much more defined and smooth to pull through it got rid of the scratchy feeling I was experiencing on stock components. Was such a pain in the ass to figure out compared to glock or ar triggers. I can admire their ability to design this puzzle but it has given me a new respect for the simplicity of glock.

I had the biggest trouble putting the take down lever back in!! Simple fix but different steps than your vid, at least on the macro. It was impossible to fully insert the take down lever, what I had to do differently is install it BEFORE you reinstall the trigger pin. That simple step took me forever to figure out. That was honestly the hardest part but thankfully SO easy when in the right order. Helpful video for everything else though, excited to try out the trigger now

@@MannyTheDriver agreed wish it was in the video as it’s a pretty important step. Also, I too had the same issue with the safety lever and the slide hitting it. I was told it was due to manufacturing tolerances on the safety lever. Now, I do Not recall it being an issue before I did the swap but I also didn’t have it long before I did the trigger swap. I ordered a new replacement safety lever (just the same standard oem one) and it did seem to fix it so who knows. I think it was $15-$20 or so

Installed this on my X-Macro and put a couple hundred rounds through it. The slide comp helps with muzzle flip from the factory but my ability to engage with a lighter trigger pull and predictable reduced reset, all in, makes a world of difference. IF YOU HAVE AN SAS, the take down level has to be inserted before the trigger is fully on, it won't go past the point you need it to in order to seat properly. So you put back in the takedown lever, straddle the trigger, put on the bar, and then back the take down lever off so you can put the other bar into the slot, etc. I couldn't get the slide to go back on, it would dead stop about 10% before flush with where it would normally end up. SAS take down lever is a pain.

On a new nanufacture 365X I was having problems , getting the take down lever back in, while following the directions of the video. The solution was to do the trigger bar. But not seat it in the disconnector/sear section of the fcu. I then help the trigger bar attached to the trigger , back as far as I could and pushed the takedown lever through, and was able to rotate it over its groove

One critical thing: the takedown lever. I followed this video and the spring kit video to the T. I was able to take apart and install everything no issues. But when I went to reassemble my slide wouldn’t go all the way on and lock back. You have to make sure to push the takedown lever until it clicks for it to be all the way in. Once it was in there was no issues. Other then that great video, great products would highly recommend.

I put only the trigger in my gun (not the springs), and the takeup is definitely shorter (feels like maybe 1cm of total takeup now), and the reset seems a lot shorter and even more positive as well. I already have another 365 which had a lot of trigger work done to it (which feels great, but still has a lot of takeup), and this makes me want to put one of these short stroke triggers in that one too.

the orientation of the safety lever pin upon reassembly was not clear to me and I ended up locking my gun up for a few minutes upon putting the gun back together. fortunately I was able to get it apart and found that it needed to be rotated 180 degrees, which solved the issue. however once the slide was back on the gun as intended, the trigger wouldn't go off. So I backed out the trigger screw a couple small turns, and it's working perfectly now.

It would be nice if there was a video specific to the SAS model. I have spent 12-15 hours on installing the trigger and spring kit. Most of the problem was in reassembly. Then when I had to all back together and it functioned, the takedown button, not the lever reset after locking the slide back. I seriously wish I hadn’t started this project. I have done other aftermarket triggers and springs but have never had this much trouble. Plus, dry firing, I am not too impressed with the trigger action.

I sold my Glock 19 to try a 365 XL and despite the tiny grip I still struggle a little to get my finger in there properly. I have tried the stock flat trigger as well as the factory curved trigger which honestly did not improve things that much. If only the reach were a little shorter it would be perfect. P365XL, no manual safety in case specifics are need... but, in general, when replacing a stock trigger with this replacement, are there safety concerns? Ie, is the firearm still drop safe?

I have a 365X Macro. Just removed the striker assembly and there was no small spring inside the striker sleeve; did Sig do away with that spring on the 365X Macro?

Love my 365XL. I've bought the CNC trigger and will be installing it soon. As far as things for M*Carbo to work on... is there anything you can do with the cartoonish sound the striker makes when dry firing? Instead of a solid 'click' it makes a muted 'boing' sound - sorta like Elmer chasing Daffy and stepping on a rake and the sound the handle makes smacking him in the face... I'm guessing the striker spring is resonating in it's channel after the striker fires. A nit-pick to be sure but it makes the gun seem a bit like like a toy... Does the spring kit reduce this or just change the pitch? Thanks

A little update. Trigger and spring kit installed! Next up, striker assembly. Didn't mar up the plastic piece in the striker assembly too bad. Was pretty difficult removing while trying to be gentle. I'm not pulling the striker assembly out again unless it's to install the M-Carbo titanium striker kit. Sheesh

Is the short leg of the sear spring supposed to click up onto a ledge and not come down? I can't move it up without it doing that and not ending up on the safety lever pin..

Great step by step but holy crap there’s a lot of parts that come off just to replace the trigger.

Can you make another “abridged version” tutorial for those of us with ADD? I lost you at about the 2 minute mark.

Probably a dumb question, but which steps can I skip to only replace the trigger without changing any springs?

@mcarbo, so is there a solution to the safety lever not sitting flush after trigger install ? If anyone else has any input, that would be great too. Notice in the video when he put the slide back on, he put it on then the safety lever caught it. He tried for about 1 seconds, then the video is cut and edited, and the slide is past that safety lever. I would like to see the unedited version showing this known issue, and how you ended up getting the slide back on past that safety lever that isn't flush after the trigger install.

Is the trigger and the spring separate components? Or does the trigger include the spring?

Why didn't you mention the safety being proud after the trigger installation? It seems you cut away in your video at 105:50 when your slide stopped at the safety and resumed the video after it was replaced. What does MCrorbo mean again? I'm a veteran also.

This was MUCH harder than the video makes it out to be. Some of the geometries of the trigger are off on mine, it doesn't look like the one in this video. I eventually figured out a way to put it back together but it took a lot of time.

Not specific enough to be helpful, would have been nice if you had taken pictures and made a post on reddit or one of the forums.
