Nice landing that Barra. Big ones always too much for the net and hard to land alone, well done!

Thanks mate. I was definitely nervous trying to land her.

Amazing fish mate, seen some big ones myself cruising those lagoon areas with no luck myself , so well done. 👌 Qst what's Ur thoughts on Mourilyan harbour for jacks, is it worth flicking lures at all? Cheers.

Thanks mate. I've seen a few big barra in those lagoons over the years but never caught one. Mourilyan Harbour is a great place to catch Jacks. Just watch out for sand bars when it's low tide.

Cheers Sam, also what tides do u prefer to fish for jacks, I've found a big tide run eg spring tides I really struggle with so much water flow, yet do ok most times on smaller runs last half of run out and first hr of run in. In suggestions is much appreciated. I notice on Ur very early vids you uses to use a samari rod, why the change. I have a samari refraction 5ft6in 12 -16lb matched with shimano DC 150 HG and amazed by versatility and power in close quarters. Cheers again.
