first came across this lady a year after this video. She's 17 here. The following year she guested with Guthrie Govan on the japanese leg of his tour and did so again the following year. That year she also guested with The Aristocrats where she did a drum off with Marco, using a couple of snare drums, the floor and a speaker, was fun to watch. Later, she jumped on Marco's kit and did a song with the band. Anyone who can mix it with the supreme talent of those guys has to be pretty damn good. Think I may have introduced Bart to her but sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong. Nice pick Bart.

Hey there Paul. Senri started popping up in my recommendations during my research of KTSHS Marching Band. So glad you appreciate her talent.

Senri has been a well known talent in Japan's music scene since she was quite young. Her career seerms to be a series of projects. I am not certain but it may be this song from her 2nd album was written by one of this bands members. Dan she uses one bass drum with 2 pedals with 2nd bd pedal right next to high hat pedal. Sifa, Senri can get tired when playing. At one appearance demonstration she took questions right after the first song to recharge before going into another. Her style makes her playing look so smoothn She has tried works outs to build muscle but gave that up as it wasn't working. She came up with another way. Zildjan makes custom drum sticks for her. Her sticks are longer and have grips. She also uses a light grip and when power playing holds the sticks at the very end. The striking end gains momentum because of the light grip and results in a heavier strike. At times you can see her stick move through her grip when she wishes her strikes to be lighter or harder. SAD another very good reaction. Thank you so much!

I have watched Senri play alongside the Saxophonist Miku Yonezawa quite a lot lately especially with an all female jazz band called " The Jazz Avengers " . They are worth checking out!!
