At the 2022 ATA show, B3 debuted the "Exact Rize" sight that has the bar milled to fit the Mathews V3X riser, with an offset in the bar to help with L/R windage adjustments.

I shoot traditional archery but I still enjoy your guys videos including these and also over at podium archery. I enjoy all archery in general. One reason I shot trad is for this reason so I don't have to worry about messing around with sights. Or if a cam is out of time or if a string and cables needs to be replaced. I don't have any bow shops close by. So it's easier for me to ABT (Always Be Tinkering) with my trad bows on my own that way. Keep up the great work.

I got a V3X 33 and installed the CBE Trek Pro. It has a dove tail with a mount for standard side mount. I just used that because it looked like using the dove tail hole in tghe bow would move the site over to the middle and there may not be enough movement to the right for wind-age for the front site to line up with my center shot. Center shot is right to specs. Just moved my top two top hats around to get to the bullet holes. Before I moved my top two top hats extreme amounts of rest movements to the side would not get a straight flying arrow with a bullet hole. Moved the top hats and the rest barely needed to move 1/32nd of an inch for good bullet holes.

Just got my dovetail for the blackgold the other day it fits great!! Slides in perfect no slop. My mountain lite has a ton of windage I’m pretty much set up dead center even my pro shop said that that was the most windage of any of the sights with the dovetail mount. Great job blackgold!!!

Cabela's landslides no dovetails have to buy the dovetail from true ball but works just fine if you convert it

Spott Hogg released an adjustable block attachment for this issue at the ATA show that they said will not be available for the next few months, after you responded to me josh they reached back out and said with the new dovetail mount 3,5,7 pin heads will not adjust properly and the only heads that will work on the fast Eddie, fast Eddie xl, Hogg father are the 1&2 pin heads until this attachment is released.

I love my Mathew’s bows but I feel when bow companies decide to totally redesign their bows there needs to be some kind of better communication between them and accessory companies. This bow is amazing but it totally put everyone behind the 8 ball for using the complete setup. Luckily Hamskea jumped out fast on a fix but everyone eles is on a back log. Also it would have been nice if they would have made a Mathew’s addition 1 or 2 pin slider sight then the 5 pin due to that is the more popular sight. Thanks for the video and keeping us informed.

I’m really surprised they did not come out with an Axcel single pin Mathews addition too. I just took my Hamskea Trinity off my V3X 29 and we just installed the Hamskea Epsilon. Awesome rest! I chose to use my Hogg Father Dovetail for now. But I am going to end up buying a landslyde with carbon dovetail. I have it on order now. I really don’t think that Matthews cares whether or not other company’s products work with their bow. They want you to buy the Matthews addition Axcel. They want you to buy the QAD integrated rest. It’s up to the other companies to catch up to Matthews. “Catch us if you can”

I buy all my Mathew’s bows 3-4 years after they come out, used. I get fully loaded bows for $500-$600. Buying the latest model is just not in my thought process.

I believe that in such a competitive industry bow manufacturers such as Mathews and Hoyt are Leary of letting their planned improvements be known even to accessories manufacturers because other bow companies may get wind of them and adopt similar improvements and technologies before the new models are released.

First off, what’s up fellas?! Love the content, keep it up. I have drifted to the dark side this year and purchased the V3X 33”. I have been a Hoyt shooter my entire life (27yrs) of shooting. I currently shoot the Hogg Father and might have the same windage issues. If I completely bomb out I will probably just side mount the sight. I would love to spend thousands a year on different equipment but I can’t see parting with a killer $400 sight because it doesn’t fit in the riser slot. It is what it is I guess but I am looking forward to starching the Mathews legs.

I run a fast Eddie xl on my V3x 33 have gone on 3 hunts and been shooting daily no issues. But what I did do from watching previous video’s of mfjj I put electrical tape on my sight to make it a better fit. But no issues.

I have a landslyde sight with the picatinny mount for the hoyt. I just bought a V3X and now I am going to use my landslyde for the v3x an when I called axcel to order the carbon bar I also had to order their bridgelock windage adapter. That is what I was told by them I had to do for that sight to work on the new v3x.

Great content and answered a lot of questions for many people. When BG releases their dovetail, we will still have the same windage issues we are having with the other dovetail mounts, correct? Until the sight manufacturers redesign the sight to accommodate this new mounting system, any dovetail mount right now will be close or maxed out on windage. Axcel makes a bracket for the landslyde but the bracket move the sight over to the right or left - why would you use a bracket and not just mount it traditionally on the side of the riser if you’re going that route? Whole point of the bridge lock is to have the bow more balanced - if you use a bracket and mount the sight using a dovetail, you’re negating the ‘bridgeloc’ system. Also, with the axcel bracket it will partially cover your sight tape. As it stands for most, the only option we have to make it work is to use a 31mm sight housing. If you use a 41mm sight, you’re going to have an issue. I am hoping they redesign these sights to have ample windage using the dovetail without a bracket.

There are some out there just depends on how many pins you want. Single, three or five. You can buy any of them and then buy a separate sight and dove tail. I got mine last year.

I wish I would of seen this video yesterday morning. I just spontaneously purchased a V3X yesterday. Yep bought the Fast Eddie XL double pin. This is the first sliding sight I have ever used. Yep. Couldn’t adjust it far enough right. I’m not sure what the piece is called. But the bar that the housing is attached to I took off and flipped it over then slid it as far right as I can. Only problem is I can’t see the entire ring. But I do have a little adjustment to move left and right now.

If you have a black gold just a suggestion, make a spacer out of 1/2 in thick aluminum that will bolt too the dove tail and bolts up to the sight with a wider mount pattern.

If more companies go to having the dove tail through the riser, hopefully they keep it universal. Trying to keep up with every bow manufacturer having different sizes, I would imagine would lead to more inventory problems and longer wait times.

Hey I was short on money and had to go with the Rocky Mountain single pin site and it actually works great. It fits really tight and I have not had any issues with windage. It’s actually turned out to be a great site. One nice thing about the Rocky Mountain dovetail is that it’s only 130 bucks. One downfall people need to know though. The site does not come with site tape. I had some from another site I have so I was good. I hope this helps.

The center mounted dovetail is an awesome idea. It looks great, and it’s weighted in the center…sounds great! I don’t want Matthews to patent that and like, limit what little primitive progression archery has left. My matthews dealer told me to not bother upgrading because of the sight issues. Do I praise Matthews for forcing brands to bend to their design? Idk man. They made a bow I’ve wanted more than any other seem a little too exclusive.

My V3 31 with a fast Eddie xl 3 pin ran out of windage. Luckily where its at im okay but i have no more left adjustment. I contacted spot hogg to see if they had a bigger L bracket or ran into this problem before and never got response after multiple attempts. Shitty customer service if you ask me. Id spend the extra money and get the black and gold fixed mount if i could go back in time.

Very off topic, but i'm curious about Dan/Josh's opinion on how arrow speed relates to how well broadheads tune. Yes, the faster the arrow the tighter the pin gap, but also less forgiving? Interested to see what experience they have with this. Love the content, keep it up!

@@michaelspangler526 I now have the dove tail that is made for the v3x. Mine fits very nice and no added noise. If you are hearing extra sound then most likely something is loose. Tap on your bow in various place to see if you can find a rattle.

Mr. Scheel i was wondering about the EZV sight i hunt in extremely think areas where 40yds is max range. How do u like yours so far?? Accuracy at 40yds n less?? I got a deal on EZV with all the inserts for $25 i figured id give it a try.

@@keithdodson7536 so far so good with mine- I was quite surprised at how effective it is once you get practice/train your cerebellar memory. It’s definitely a 50 yard sight, but I won’t shoot over 50 on an animal anyways. The benefits in low light are pretty awesome too.

Idk if it's me or what but my Sure-Loc dovetail sight vibrates something fierce & I can't stand it....... I looked at other people's bows with a spotthogg and axcell and they vibrate too. . . . . I can't stand my bow being a giant tuning fork - Is there something I'm missing for vibration dampening ???

I’m really frustrated with these new mounting systems for Hoyt or Matthews. Regardless of platform these sight companies are not offering many options and when they do offer them they are backordered, out of stock. This was not a well thought out deployment by any manufacturer.

I know a shop that's got 5 landslydes in stock. 1 pin and 5 pin. However, the catch is, its the version with the picatinny base for Hoyt. If you want to buy it for a non-hoyt, you gota buy the base you need. Reply to this comment if you want the info.

If you have windage issues on your Spot Hogg dove tail fast Eddie or standard 3/5/7 pin sight that uses the factory "L" block for adjustment, I have the solution. Machined Aluminum "L" block to provide more adjustment. This will work with large diameter MRT rings. Give me a shout to see if this will work for you.

This is a big miss for Mathews IMO. They should have done more pre-production in working with sight companies to make this better. This was a HUGE sell for what was great this year on the V3X and it’s almost a whiff. 1 sight company that fits perfectly and 2 others that we can “Frankenstein” sounds just gimmicky.
