I have to admit that you got me, I was expecting a crazy pose for N1, but that ending was a satisfaction. Yeah, that is what it is all about, meditation.

@@sigis-mondi and many don't take things serious enough making fun of Hindus/Hinduism without which there would be no yoga.
@dharmayogaashram979 Жыл бұрын
You are referring to the Hindu philosophy of the Yoga Darsana which makes no mention of any specific asana. Therefore today's ashtanga yoga (like all the modern non Hindu yoga) is totally dishonest and disrespectful.
@sigis-mondi Жыл бұрын
@@dharmayogaashram979 you are confusing me now. First you say that real yoga doesn’t mention asana. Then you say modern yoga practitioners disrespect Hindu Philosophy. If modern yoga practitioners only do asana - that you said is not included in the real yoga tradition - how they can disrespect it then? Maybe have a chat with Eddie Stern or Dr James Mallinson. Also, I’m done with this conversation. It’s not leading anywhere. And it’s not even a conversation because you clearly are the only one who know the truth. Please respect my space in my channel where I have kindly invited you. Good bye.
@dharmayogaashram979 Жыл бұрын
@@sigis-mondi have to respond but please consider this is only a search for truth and honesty i hope you keep at it. You misunderstood and misunderstand just what is Yoga and one of the Hindu Philosophies. I did not say that real yoga doesn't mention asana. Hatha Yogasana is an integral part of Hindu Dharma and has several texts that detail the asanas (all of which say don't display!). The Yoga Darsana (philosophy) is only one Hindu text among many. And it is a fact that this Darsana does not mention any specific asana but is misused by the phony yogis (like Eddie Stern, etc.) to promote their phony ashtanga yog businesses. Please this is not my truth but the facts available to anyone who does their homework. This is why there is so much confusion.

Hi Alessandro ! Wow, those are really challenging postures, I don't even dream of being able to do them ...and I perfectly live without them😉But it's beautiful to watch amazingly talented yogis do them ! And I totally agree with your number one, even if I'd say a little difference : for me, savasana is the most difficult pose. Not to perform, but to feel. I'm actually unable to stay still for a while (whether it is sitting or lying on my back). Glad you illustrated some of those poses with Ty as a model 😉

Sure, Savasana could also be number 1 if implies stillness of the thoughts and not just laying down and resting after practice 😊

Just a correction at 7:24 "Aika hastaa adho mukhaa vrikshasana" (one hand down facing tree pose) You typed and pronounced it as Vrischikasana which is scorpion, not tree. And probably it’s not even not important, if then someone cannot perform the number 1

Oh Yogi, eat nothing but boiled vegetables for ten years, practice 3 hours of Asana everyday, one hour of pranayama. Place 2 legs behind your head . Hands on floor,lifting your bottom up. Only then will you realise, that nothing special has happened. Except, you have become self obsessed and have served no one. Your spiritual ego will grow as will the lower Sidhis . You will know the arts of hypnotism , magnetism, and mesmerisim These lower powers will create addictions . Sexual manipulation and financial gain .you will help nobody. The spiritual ego will place you above everyone. You will be known for who you really are. Namaste.

Our perception of violence varies I read the dorito reply, have to agree with that ..If overcoming obstacles, working through our false beliefs and self imposed limitations, learning what the real ones are, and profoundly respecting what we do is really violence to you, than you have received your answer

The yoga danda (daṇḍa) or the wooden staff is mainly used to open up your nostril - so under your left armpit when the right nostril is clogged/closed and vice versa. This would help you breathe better and breathing/breathwork or pranayama being the key, one step higher than ,asana practice. There are different types of staffs or dandas used by different rishis or sages or kings or deities, each with its own significance and also to a certain extent, describing the status of the person carrying the danda. Ofcourse, the topic here is not danda but advanced postures but I just got excited and wanted to share. Danda actually means punishment, also in my mother tongue Konkani - dandoo, though. Or a unit of time or an equivalent of ‘ghaṭikā,’ and is equal to 24 minutes. Yama, the lord of death, therefore is also called ‘daṇḍadhara’ or the wielder of the daṇḍa or holder of death or time, the time, we are destined to spend on Earth.
