Thank you. One of our favorite stages as it really pushes the performance of any system.

Crazy smoth and accurate, need ur tv higher n closer tho

Thanks Jonathan, the TV is currently adjusted to our DK6 height and this DK4x is in there just temporarily mounted (4 x M8's) We are just purchasing materials to mount this inside the Datsun 280z chassis. It will be a direct to floor mount and the car itself, less engine and transmission is about 1800 lbs... So it will be interesting to see once we put more weight on the system and how it reacts then. The chassis pictured is barely 200 lbs and I am 245, so it's no sweat 😅 for the DK4x. We are also building a DK6x soon. Same concept but two more inches of travel. About 4" taller over all. Also in the video we are missing out actuator feet as well.

@SIGMAIntegrale wtf ur kidding lol ur gonna keep us posted I hope,I gotta see that in action when you're done, I get why it looks so powerful now too, can't go wrong with more travel too, more dramatic, very cool , keep us posted, how long ya think before ur done , that's like ultimate man cave show off peice too

WOW that is huge! From your description I gather this setup is designed to move a whole 280Z chassis - absolute insanity to run it on a minimalistic cockpit frame!

Yes. Moving the whole car. Hence the bigger motors and oversized components. ;-)

You guys like the PSE wheel?
11 ай бұрын
Yes. Rather pricey but the quality of the components and the support is unmatched. The first wheel we purchased in 2018 and just last year someone overturned the wheel and broke the USB cable. Contacted PSE, they couldn't believe we've been using this wheel for so long and sent us a cable, expedited right away. Got it in two days. :-) The paddle shifters also have a great detent on it, it's different than all the other wheels we have tried. Very loud as you can hear on the video but also very confident. Shape and size is perfect as well, although that is more preference... Would highly recommend.

@ I want to get the DK2 then buy the PSE GPX wheel. I would be in heaven haha!

That screen seems super low compared to the drivers eye height?
7 ай бұрын
Correct. This was a very quick mount and test shakedown. The mounts here are also not the way the DK-X should be connected to any frame or structural member. Typically we recommend that the drivers eyes are perpendicular and in the center of the screen. Distance from the monitor should be about the size of the monitor/panel. So if the monitor is 48" the drivers eyes should be about 48" away from the monitor. You can push that our more for those who get motion sick, and bring it in more for those that have no issues. Thanks for the note.

This is the first time i've heard anything about a DK4 🤩 Is the aim for this to be good for flight sims as well or would we still need the DK6 for that?
@adamlitchfield33719 ай бұрын
Ok ignore my last comment, I've just seen the price 😄 The DK2+ is still the dream

@@adamlitchfield3371 hahah. This is why we are transparent about our pricing and don't hide behind "Contact Us" schemes. ;-) Saved both of us a lot of time! Yes the DK4X or DK6X are both high mass products. Each actuator weighs about 100 lbs. each and can lift 5000 lbs. total in a 4 actuator setup. It's intended for high mass platforms or full motion car projects, something we have been doing for quite a while now. The unit starts at $33k and and $36k USD. 🤑

100 lbs per actuator. The build of these machines was really testing out tools. The engine and road texture is much too strong though. Will be posting some videos of the 280Z that we installed this system on, and a C7/C8 Corvettes, and a C6 incoming.

Too bad no traction loss is simulated. Minimal rotational forces during spinouts.
11 ай бұрын
TL would be awesome 👍🏻. Traction loss or better described as yaw, surge or sway is a difficult motion layer to simulate well. There are many who do it but as @boostedmedia has shown in their video it's really easy to quickly saturate an unlimited layer like yaw. Pitch, roll and heave are much more contained and can have more of a 1:1 or linear relationship. But even then you have things like high travel vehicles (off road) and large changes in environment that need to be scaled. So we have been examining yaw for a couple of years now and seeing how to best add it to our system and still maintain Motion Integrity. We believe there is a way but really involves controlling the mechanical, software (screen correction etc) and the algorithm... How all these integrate together is key. 🗝️
@theshazman8 ай бұрын
If you can achieve this and also give me VR motion compensation, I will literally buy a unit tomorrow. Your tech has everything I need except no yaw/TL. I really hope you can crack this eventually! Because everything else is very impressive. Cheers!

The best I've seen is a delta system, which has the potential benefit of using knee joints so a 2" knee joint could give ~4" of travel. But then the knee joints need to be strong enough for heavier rigs.
