Thank you for making this clear. For surely Freud had to had known that this concept is already clearly discussed in the Bible. Freud's Id, Ego and Superego are a true reflection of what the Bible calls body, soul and spirit. Body = us, what we live in or ego; Soul = what tempts us or Freud's Id and spirit is connected with the Holy Spirit which keeps us on track, Freud's Superego. It's true there's nothing new under the sun - Ecclesiastes. The Bible - got to love it!
