I like the hardwood sign better, but both are lovely!

Thomas just discovered your channel thru a vignette. I like both signs actually. I have a tiny shop and am constantly adding improvements. Currently adding doors to my shelves and am already 4 mths into deciding what paint color to use, so I get it.

New to your channel. My wife and I personally like the hardwood look better, but agree both are very nice. Well done.

I like the MDF-model a little more, because of the contrast/the colour. On the other hand the real wood version looks more natural and valuable. Depends on the demand of the maker/customer, which one is preferred.

Absolutely! I like both for sure, there are just some really cool things that can be done with paint color.

Love the results. I like the natural wood sign. Question: If woodworking is 90% building and the other half is fixing your mistakes, then why do I have to give a hundred and ten percent? Okay, serious question: Do you think a fulcrum pin would have helped with the letters on the router table? Router table seems made for shapes like those letters, so just trying to figure out why it was so problematic? Either way, I like how you talked us through your process of trying different techniques to get it done and keep all your fingers.

Love it! Yes it could have helped and I thought about using the fulcrum pin, but it still made me nervous.

Grüß dich Thomas, Don't have a band saw either, and love your simple jig. I'm a fan of simple jigs. I wanna do projects and not build some jigs for my living room. Actually I have already found all the materials for the workbench! I think I will start during the weekend. Viele Grüße vom Garagen Gio

I think most people would buy a $25 used scroll saw to do the same thing.

That’s another good option! I went with this $0 solution.

I got a table jigsaw from Lowes for $20, It's basically a store made version of what he did...it was a display model and didn't have a couple parts which is why it was so cheap. I called the company and told them what I needed and how I came by the saw. I was willing to pay for the parts, but they sent me the parts for free, so score! I said that though to say that they DO make these in case someone is a little leery about making a homebuilt one.

This is meant as honest feedback. I like your work and your style and sense of humor. I was thinking about why your vids don't get a little more views. I feel like part of it might be your choice to film virtually the full videos with your head cut off and your face/head barely appears in the videos at all. Combined with full voice overs, it produces a feeling of distance (I'm not sure how to describe it). It's less personal and less like you are inviting us to be there in the shop with you. I'm not saying you need to film the full things with your face showing and talking directly to the camera, but a larger portion might be good for establishing a better relationship with viewers and better success of your videos.

Real wood workers don't use cnc and lasers. Keep it that work. Once you become a top notch woodworker which your on your way. Then get a cnc trust me you would love that decision later.
