Everyone loves Soie Malaquais. I can appreciate it because it’s a beautifully blended perfume but the nutty note is very pronounced for me. Smooth silky nuttiness. That’s what I get from it. Ordered some decants from the House of Bo and Liis. We will see how it goes! Thanks for your lovely videos.

I love Soie Malaquais and Musk Therapy. I blind bought Bois de Vanille a couple of months ago and didn’t like it so I put it in a cold, dark place. I just now pulled it out after watching your video. I’m getting the potential of it now. The notes seem better blended. I’m going to let it sit for a few more weeks and try it again.

My signature fragrances are lipsticky/iris juices and those two are Parfums De Marly Athalia & Mes Bisous- Balle Rouge 😍💋 ugh chefs kiss to both of them! My eyes roll in the back of my head every single time I take the top off and smell them. No other fragrances in my collection do it like those two. Athalia is Iris/bitter orange/incense and musk vanilla and Balle rouge is Lemony lipsticky iris vanilla amber and musk that’s to die for!

@ I’ve never tried it, but now you have my interest peaked for sure!! That’s my favorite style is lipsticky/iris/vanilla musk and amber! First time I ever smelled Balle rouge and Athalia my eyes rolled back into my head 😂 none out of my collection do me like those two girl! BDK Vanille leather almost makes me do that, but not as intense as the other two do haha 🤣 is uomo similar?

Uomo Intense is more masculine leaning compared to Balle Rouge, has a smooth leather and is more aromatic :)

I don't know if you've started learning French or if you just looked it up but I noticed in a recent video you pronounced Gourmand Coquin correctlly and now you also did it with Soie Malaquais and I really wanted to thank you for even bothering to do so. Most reviewers don't care, even when people help them in the comments, so really thanks a lot :) Also, I wonder if you've tried Merit's Retrospect and if so, what you think of it. I think I've only heard two or three fragrance reviewers talk about it, 95% of the reviews on-line are from make-up channels.

G Coquin is one of my favorites, but I hate to pronounce it, I still wonder how I am going to pronounce it when someone asks me what I am a wearing. :)) Nobody asked yet tho. :)) I get your point, as a reviewer it would be nice to pronounce the names correctly.

I always look up how to pronounce something if I'm unsure, but sometimes the examples I come across are incorrect, and then you guys will help me out 🥰 Retrospect's opening is really good with that pear, then it quickly it reminds me of the Glossier You profile, but with an aldehyde presence, and I'm not a fan of those aldehydes

Can you recommend perfumes that don't have vanilla? I feel like vanilla is such a easy note to wear because only vanilla by itself smells really good and soft but it would be nice to have some diversity because I naturally gravitate towards vanilla scents.

I just got a sample of Musc K, and wow! It is like the lovely, classy, elegant lady version of Glossier You and Room 1015 Sonic Flower. Sonic flower smells like carrots to me with the carrot seeds, and I love the original formulation of You, but not as much with the new one. When I smell all three in a row, Musc K is the CLEAR choice! I’m going to have to get a full bottle! When I smelled it, I just said “mmm, I need this” 😆

I think about this a lot. So far top of my list would be Ormande Jayne Woman, Chloe Nomade Absolu, Chanel Cristalle EDP. If I went for a musk it would Essential Parfums The Musc, or Zoologist Musk Deer. Also very tempted to put a floral on… contenders would Dusita Fleur de Lalita or SL Nuit de cellophane. I know we have different tastes but I continue to love and watch your videos and thankfully there is some crossover. ❤

I tried Soie Malaquais in summer and I thought THAT is how I would like to smell in autumm. I am not sure why (maybe is the bottle) but I get something like japanese plum wine notes. Or dried plum idk.

I love how you describe fragrances, but I strongly disagree with the new kayali silk santal. I adored the first release, but the new release is noooot the same. No nectarine note in the opening, much more floral and sharper sandalwood, and less praline/vanilla in the dry down. Agree to disagree on this one. But maybe you have the old version which I would pay good money for! The new one…sharp/hint of sour. Waiting to see if it macerates and gets better :/
