Dr. Berg, great information. Have you discussed the relationship between copper levels and iron levels? I was anemic for years until I increased my copper levels. Not one doctor ever mentioned the relationship in all that time. Increase copper, increased absorption of iron - no more anemia. Decades of being tired are gone. :)
@FlaminHell4 жыл бұрын
I seem to have constant low iron. Did you eat copper foods or take supplement? is there anything else needed (besides vitamin c)?
@thisorthat76264 жыл бұрын
@@FlaminHell You can go with either option. If you are willing to eat chicken liver or pate, it is a great source of copper and iron. I started with chicken liver, but I am not a fan of the taste. Liver pate was easier for me to eat, but more difficult to find in the store. So I also supplemented with a liquid mineral blend that contained copper. I like "NOW" brand colloidal mineral blend. 32 oz costs about $10-13 US. You can also buy copper tablets. Swanson Vitamins has a good, low priced copper tablet - 2 mg for around $4.00 for 300 tablets. I had no problem with the tablets (no discomfort) and used one bottle. I recommend the liquid mineral mix because I realized I was low on other minerals and wanted to increase levels of all the trace minerals. You can also take a liquid B complex as it helps with circulation, etc. I like Nature's Bounty brand. 2 oz runs about $7-8. I hope this helps! Blessings.

@@m.a320 I'm still around. The exercise had a dramatic effect on my blood chemistry and rapidly raised my Hemoglobin level. Apparently exercise releases substances from the muscles into the bloodstream that stimulate the release of oxygen from hemoglobin so that it can be used by the body (oxygen is "tightly bound" to hemoglobin) and also they promote the creation of fresh hemoglobin. Doctors, of course, are not in the habit of telling severely anemic elderly patients to engage in prolonged vigorous exercise ... something in me compelled me to do it. I think we have "an instinct to stay fit and healthy" that sometimes knows more than the doctors what's best for us.

Hypoxia/decreased oxygen will cause cells to sickle if you have sickle trait or disease. That is not good. Also, higher altitudes are not good for people with sickle cell gene due to decreased oxygen. You DO NOT want cells to sickle because the cells get stuck in the capillaries and cause pain or sickle crisis.
