Can I ask everybody to please like this comment so doctor Berg can see it and perhaps help? I just received blood work and my RBC and WBC are high, iron low and B12 almost dangerously High. So I'm not understanding what's going on in my body. They're also saying that my blood cells are large? I hope you can help me with this dr. Berg. I have elevated pulse rate. A little shortness of breath or air hunger. Super tired. Perimenopause and fibroids. Thanks

Dr. Berg, great information. Have you discussed the relationship between copper levels and iron levels? I was anemic for years until I increased my copper levels. Not one doctor ever mentioned the relationship in all that time. Increase copper, increased absorption of iron - no more anemia. Decades of being tired are gone. :)
@MM-dz9fk

I seem to have constant low iron. Did you eat copper foods or take supplement? is there anything else needed (besides vitamin c)?
@thisorthat7626
@thisorthat7626 4 жыл бұрын
@@MM-dz9fk You can go with either option. If you are willing to eat chicken liver or pate, it is a great source of copper and iron. I started with chicken liver, but I am not a fan of the taste. Liver pate was easier for me to eat, but more difficult to find in the store. So I also supplemented with a liquid mineral blend that contained copper. I like "NOW" brand colloidal mineral blend. 32 oz costs about $10-13 US. You can also buy copper tablets. Swanson Vitamins has a good, low priced copper tablet - 2 mg for around $4.00 for 300 tablets. I had no problem with the tablets (no discomfort) and used one bottle. I recommend the liquid mineral mix because I realized I was low on other minerals and wanted to increase levels of all the trace minerals. You can also take a liquid B complex as it helps with circulation, etc. I like Nature's Bounty brand. 2 oz runs about $7-8. I hope this helps! Blessings.

I'm 78. My kidneys failed a couple of years ago and I'm having dialysis three times a week. I'm anemic (Hb 78g/l) and the ESA (Aranesp) I'm being prescribed isn't working. Fatigue was taking over my life. I read that exercise might help ... so three days ago I went for a brisk TEN MILE hike .... following a hilly route. Now all the fatigue is gone ... totally gone!. My next dialysis session will include a basic blood test.

@jordanpeters3746
@jordanpeters3746 6 ай бұрын
@@m.a320 I'm still around. The exercise had a dramatic effect on my blood chemistry and rapidly raised my Hemoglobin level. Apparently exercise releases substances from the muscles into the bloodstream that stimulate the release of oxygen from hemoglobin so that it can be used by the body (oxygen is "tightly bound" to hemoglobin) and also they promote the creation of fresh hemoglobin. Doctors, of course, are not in the habit of telling severely anemic elderly patients to engage in prolonged vigorous exercise ... something in me compelled me to do it. I think we have "an instinct to stay fit and healthy" that sometimes knows more than the doctors what's best for us.

holding breath rises blood pressure which make you stronger (higher bp = more oxygen) also i wouldnt recommend it because with this you can get extreme high bp (wheigt lifting naturally rises bp specially under heavy weights) and the risk of passing out after the set gets higher because of rebound low bp. in my opinion its very dangerous

I wonder if this would help with sickle cell anemia?
@kbaz6658
@kbaz6658 4 жыл бұрын
Hypoxia/decreased oxygen will cause cells to sickle if you have sickle trait or disease. That is not good. Also, higher altitudes are not good for people with sickle cell gene due to decreased oxygen. You DO NOT want cells to sickle because the cells get stuck in the capillaries and cause pain or sickle crisis.

I think this is like buteyko breathing method. I think my body naturally does this. I’m anemic. When I breathe out my body takes a pause until I’m almost starved of oxygen then I breathe in and the cycle repeats. The body is so clever!

It's amazing information. I do this pranayama everyday where I have to retain my breath outside for couple of minutes and then breathe again. I feel good after it throughout the day. I recommend everyone to try pranayama it's amazing. Thanks for making the video out doc.

I wonder what the connection between red blood cells and EPO is. Just wondering because Lance Armstrong was obviously famous for using lots of EPO during his tainted Tour De France career. TJ Dillashaw banned because of using EPO as well.

I have normal iron and b12 yet my RBC is below the normal range , 3.82. I took b12 thinking it would help and my b12 levels became too high. I don’t bleed heavy so I have no clue why they are lower than normal. My doctor doesn’t seem too concerned.

i gathered some input fm online search how to increase the RBC & some notes i found, besides Iron (to boost hemoglobin) & B12 (to activate folate + plays important roles on RBC) --> also need Copper (absorbing Iron & assist RBC to access Iron), B9 Folate (need to make RBC & WBC in the bone marrow) & B6 (need for Iron to convert into Hemoglobin). besides, Vit C (helps absorbing Iron). 4 minerals/vitamins that make me confused that can helps on RBC was Vit E (aids in the formation of RBC), Zinc (may improve Hemoglobins level), Vit A (helps stems cells develop into RBC & to make sure RBC have access to Iron) & Molybdenum (helps to move Iron into RBC). Anyway, maybe the info i gathered was wrong or its an old inputs, besides, im not a medical person which i cant give any advise for it. u can check with your Dr about the Vitamins/Minerals 1st & see maybe she/he can find something interests on inputs i send
