I had to come back and leave a review under this video. My baby girl was born in May and before I went into labor I studied this video with a notebook. I was able to have an unmedicated natural birth at 35 with zero complications during birth and recovery. I am so grateful for all the tips Chanele provided. I had no midwife. The support of my husband, nurse and doctor was enough. The staff was so impressed by what I learned and my ability to labor that they said I could teach a course. It was all due to this channel. If you’re having doubts about labor, you can do it! If unmediated natural is for you, you can do it too. Listen to your body!! Thank you sooooo much, I could not have been more pleased with my experience! Best of luck mamas!!!! ❤

Not sure why, but in my family we just don’t do “early labour” 😅 my sister told me not to expect that phase, and I appreciated it, because I woke up to my water breaking and my first contraction came 1 hour later. And immediately they were 4-5 minutes apart and strong! My son was out around 5 hours from my first contraction 😅 This is how my sister’s and mother’s births went as well 🐒

Thank you so very much for this content. I watched this serie of videos prior to labour and I must say they were very helpful. I got to experience all of your tips and tricks. And for once in 3 births, labor time was exactly 6hours all phase included. Not to mention that I was also able to achieve a VBAC. It is too long of a story to share it here, but I had to comment and thank you for all you do for women. Thanks again.

If you have a bit of a stressful situation going on at home and you don't feel always that comfortable there, are you able to head to the hospital a little bit earlier?
@awerkingmama
@awerkingmama 5 ай бұрын
Absolutely! You should go whenever you feel it’s best - hopefully from an educated perspective. If you’re not dilated enough though, many hospitals will send you back home.

Whats the difference between a birth worker and a doula?
@awerkingmama
@awerkingmama Жыл бұрын
Doulas are birth workers but people refer to themselves in a variety of ways and sometimes do more than just doula.
@kristinbunch4741
@kristinbunch4741 10 ай бұрын
A birthworker could refer to doulas, chiropractors, acupuncturists, pelvic floor therapists, physical therapist, midwife, ob, massage therapists and anyone who works with pregnant women and babies

Why do women have the need to accentuate “two under two”. As if they’re bragging on how close they had 2 kids together. It’s actually pretty horrible for both the kids and mom’s health to have them that close together.

It's actually not
@Keepinitreal55
@Keepinitreal55 8 күн бұрын
@@skywa7183 um it actually is if you know anything about health at all! It takes a minimum of 2 years for a woman to regain her nutrients to pre baby stage, and even longer to optimize it. When you get pregnant on a depleted state you risk health issues on your baby like autoimmune issues, allergies, neurological issues etc. not to mention further declining the woman’s health for depleting her of essential nutrients even more. This has all been proven.

All great information. However, you never once utter the word “pain”. I think this is a disservice to women. You and many many others online use the word “intense” instead of “painful”. I’m sorry but “intensity” does not come close to describing transition (or often way before transition). It’s painful. Extremely, shockingly painful. Let’s not sugar coat reality.
@limeonthecoconut
@limeonthecoconut 2 ай бұрын
It's actually different for all women. I don't think it's negative not to describe it as painful. Intense can cover it just fine.
@ashsturgis
@ashsturgis Ай бұрын
Maybe that's your experience, but everyone's "pain" tolerance is different. If you say pain for some ppl, the mind will automatically consider it extremely painful. It's really mind over matter. So intense is a positive positioning word. Not a disservice it's actually wiser to use to keep ppl from fearing birth.
