Love your videos 💕 I am in a similar situation! Going for VBAC & My water broke 24 hours ago and they are trying to get me to get induced with Pitocin tonight and I really don’t want to. Going to wait for my body to go into labor naturally

This is my 4th and I keep forgetting what contractions feel like 😅 I keep getting excited over the slightest twinge when I know better but I'm really short so going my normal 43+ weeks really takes it's toll. Everytime I think "oh I'm so uncomfortable I'm definitely going into labor early" 🙄

Thank you for this wonderful explanation 😊 I'm expecting my second child and my fear is to tear again. My first labour went all natural, no pain relief, nothing, I gave birth on my knees. But baby came out very fast and I couldn't control the pushings. When I was at the hospital with contractions every 2,3min, midwife sent me back home after checking, saying that I barely dilatated and I still had many hours to labour. Going back home, 30min later my body started pushing by itself and I was doing kind of animal sounds each time. Drove back quickly to hospital as the pushing were more intense and I couldn't stop them. But midwife told me why I came back and not to push because I would be pushing like that for hours. I wasn't able to listen to her, just to my body pushing, and my baby girl was born 30min later. A beautiful experience ❤ the only thing is that I felt a lot of pain while baby was going out and I teared in 3 places. What should I do if it happens again? How do I control the pushings and how to stop tearing? I will try practicing more the relaxation part

This happened for me, it was insane. My body just flipped a switch and started pushing on its own. It was definitely relieving and all I really had to do was really breathe as she worked her way down. I only had to “help” pushing when the birthing team came in. It was a lot of them and it really threw me off bad. All the lights and voices stressed me out and I definitely lost my focus. I ended up with a second degree tear as well. I wish I had just delivered her on my own because of how distracting it was to have all that commotion in my room after peacefully laboring with just my husband and doula for my whole labor.

Most women get epidural and are not able to get into more than one position. Doctors in fact know the anatomy. Women knoe how to push properly. We just dont care for the pain. The biblical curse. I do believe each contraction means the baby is coming out itself.

Hi! At what stage of labor is this level of focus typically required? Is it like this from early labor onward (just with more time in between until active labor)?

When I was pregnant ( only 3 wks ago) I used to watch almost all of your recent videos, prepared very much for labour, had to get induced and the remaining story was exactly like what happened to you! I went into an emergency C-section. I was so disappointed and felt like a failure. Now I’m 2 weeks postpartum and still can’t get over it! This was my first and I hope I can do a VBAC for my next 😢

Dad of all the people in the world knows what her body feels like. He also loves baby so it’s the safest hands to comfort and care for mom during labor. Super proud of moments like this being shared. Mom of 6 beautiful and healthy children. Now I am helping my 1st born daughter for the second time with her labor and delivery in March! I can’t wait to welcome another precious grandchild into the world.💜

Deep squats have not been good for my hemorrhoids 🫤 38wks, no sign of contractions. I saw high % of first time moms give birth at 40-41 wks. My OB already mentioned induction a couple times which I don’t feel comfortable with. It seems one intervention leads to the next. Birthing should flow naturally for most women.

I'm just thankful for the fetal ejection Peterborough city hospital. My midwife looked at me and said "you're fully dilated" then lowered the bed completely flat. I said "I don't want that", she told me "you have to". when I julted onto my shoulders and tiptoes because of the pain involuntarily, she pulled my legs straight with intensifies the pain, I couldn't move, push or even control my body until after my baby came out. I tried to bring my knees together thankfully for it to be over and she pushed them so wide apart it locked me baby inside me. She told my partner it was normal for me to buy julting. Is it normal? Is it normal that every single word or request is ignored by the midwife??

30:00 to 32:00 "I remember even with a C-section, them taking my baby away from me........ seeing him from afar and not being to hold him because that's a very traumatic part of your experience. You've done all this work to get baby here and now you're waiting to see him and all these other people have seen him before you and that's a really hard place to be emotionally when you already feel out-of-control and powerless" 😭💔❤️‍🔥 THANK YOU FOR PUTTING SOME OF MY TRAUMA INTO WORDS WHEN I COULDN'T 😢 I hate pregnancy & childbirth & postpartum. I decided I'm a mom of one and done. I refuse to allow myself to suffer like this again. I still have PTSD from that horrific day. Dads have life so easy, not having to deal with any of this suffering

I am so sorry you went through that! Dad's definitely have it easier when it comes to the physical and emotional trauma. I do want to share though that my husband really struggled after my birth. He is very empathetic and it was very hard for him to see me go through all of the pain. He kept telling me over and over again that he wished he could bare the pain in my place. He definitely struggled during my postpartum as well and recovery getting mentally. He is my rock so seeing him in that place also made things harder.

Great video, dont know how I ended up here. Just curious, does the hospital bed need to be flat for uou to do the proper side lying position with ankle much higher? I was epiduralised and they let me try side laying with a peanut ball but had no idea how to position it and it conpletely crushed my bump and hips to lay on my side on a bed which was not flat and I dont know why they wouldnt let me lower the bed down. Does that make any sense? Baby didnt like it and i had an emergency c section so wondering what I could do differently if there was a next time. Beyond try to avoid an epidural! They also wouldn't let me hang over the top of the bed despite it being supposed to be a mobile epidural

Thank you for sharing! You are such a strong woman and your story is so inspiring! I felt so connected to your pregnancy and birth story and to dealing with the people that are fearfull but you trusted god. I just gave birth one month ago at home to my second son. it was and Amazing HBAC at 42+3 weeks. Spiritual sperience full of trust and love. Also my husband so supportive I just love your story because it makes me feel I am not alone and there are strong women out there trusting themselves because god made us perfect.❤

Okay, but what if I know that I can’t handle pain very well and want to go for an epidural ? Does that automatically mean that there is a big chance having a C-section ? I can’t imagine that most woman who got the epidural had to go through this ?

My first is due Nov. 1st and I do not want a hospital setting with a provider getting me in and out to make more money for the next patients. I know they will push me have an epidural, or rush for episiotomy to speed it along.. or whatever they can like u mentioned. My mom doesn't understand why I want to have a tub available and to have other ways besides my back only. She claims I'll be too tired to want to squat or any thing..I know my instincts want to find the more natural ways my body should be doing things.. not seen as a pay check among many more dollar signs they want to rush along to fatten their wallets quickly with little true care of doing it right and less harmful on body and baby.. I think i want to drop my OB bc she dismissed my birthing plan saying that births dont follow plans made so dont bother
