Well I was in a bad mood and thinking about the fact that I've given up every drug on the planet except for marijuana. Now I'm 59 and I started smoking when I was 12. I used to go to na. But for some reason today I thought I would listen to a speaker meeting and ran across this. My first thought was I don't feel like laughing. Well f*** there's a hint I might need to go back to Narcotics Anonymous in itself. Now one time I went to an AA convention and the speaker was dr. Paul o who wrote a story doctor alcoholic addict in the back of the AA book. Damn I can't believe I remember this. Well he said from the podium everybody in Alcoholics Anonymous says they're happy joyous and free and then he said but they forgot to tell their faces. About fell out of my chair laughing. About 37 seconds into this video I began to laugh and a couple times I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Several good things happened as I listen to this guy make me laugh. One is for sure I am now laughing or just a few minutes ago I didn't want to listen to this because I didn't feel like laughing. Oh the irony of it all. It also reminded me of my friend Eddie who had 28 years clean and sober when he passed away in recovery. Well him and his ex-wife Gretchen who also passed away shortly after he did. Were the co-founders of starting a chapter of Narcotics anonymous in Amarillo Texas. at the end of every meeting we would all gather around Eddie because he had this magical way of taking what would normally make people sad or cry and make us all laugh. Now I have been alive for 60 years almost in February and I have never met a group of people that actually loved on one another to the degree that a bunch of clean and sober addicts do. Well Eddie and Gretchen we're already divorced by the time I got into recovery and Eddy married Petra and all three of them have passed away clean and sober. I have a lot of friends that just smoke pot and they all have the same story they smoke pot because they want to. But I know the difference and I know that I smoke pot because I choose not to do the things that would keep me from smoking it. Because if I could just quit it I would have already done so because it tells me what to do every day. I mean my thinking is still centered in getting more smoking more what does it taste like is it the Strand they really said it was the Strand is better than the other strand when am I going to get to a place I can smoke some and nobody will know where's my cologne so I can spray myself . I mean since I was 12 my thinking has been centered into the very thing that robs me of the joy of wanting to laugh. Kind of makes you wonder which attic is better one that knows they need recovery or one that is in denial.? It's a trick question because the answer is neither only the addict in recovery is now better. A drug is a drug is a drug is a drug and the motive behind using a drug is always the same it doesn't matter what the drug is the motive is the same. Everything about my lengthy comment says time to go to a meeting. Yeah who knows if I'll make it there but I still have enough compassion left in me to let those of you that are in recovery no that damn monkey is still out here waiting to whip your ass

Erns 4gottenyouthmovement it's a recommendation to change people places and things. Go into the rooms being open minded don't close out suggestions. As an addict you know when you have a problem when you're addiction is out of hand and your completely powerless. There's no punch at the meetings we just want to help one another and your free to come and go as you please. AA and NA even CA saved the life's of many just because you want to be closed minded about it and sit there and say it's a cult and it doesn't work doesn't mean you should knock it on the internet. The doors will always be open for you when your ready. I denied I had a problem since I was 17 I'm 20 and I know I got a problem. I tried the religious route psychiatry and others. When your ready to surrender come pick up your white key tag. Until than don't speak poorly on something you know very little about

Its all about letting them understand by using the language that most addicts used to speak in thier pre-addictive life ... letting bad boys understand by using the language.... E.g. hey i don't afraid of guns, fights, etc but this powdered shit fucked me again and again.... sone people get cured with the regular treatment but the most of addicts will be cured more easily by this trick .... at least we don't oppose if we are "one in a million" type serious shitttt 😂
