Are you in a loveless marriage? Relationships transform and change over time. Often, in the beginning, we find ourselves infatuated with our partner where we cannot get enough of them and vice versa.
And before we know it, you are unhappy at home and ultimately living in a loveless marriage.
***If you want to know if your relationship is healthy or needs work, click on my quiz link below now:

So what went wrong?
Unfortunately, not all relationships withstand the age of time. People grow apart; love is lost on one or both sides. When it comes to your relationship, it is important to see the signs that love is gone.
Staying married when not in love is not a way anybody wants to live. And you shouldn't have to either.
Here are some signs you might be living in a loveless marriage:
1. No more making love; just sex
When intimate time feels more like a routine than an exciting experience, that could be a sign you are just having sex.
If you cannot remember the last time you and your other half made love, you might not be far from a loveless marriage
2. You don't hear the 3 magic words:
If you used to tell each other "I love you", and now you cannot remember the last time you heard or said those words, that could be a sign that your relationship is already downhill.
3. Your conversations are shallow
If you notice that your conversations with your other half are not about anything meaningful, that is not good. It is important that we have deep talks with the person we are in a relationship with.
This is a way to connect and grow together. So if your conversations are not deep anymore, that could be a warning sign you are living in a loveless marriage.
4. You stop talking about future plans
When we first get into relationships, we set relationship goals. These are things we look forward to together, as a couple (family, career, vacations, etc).
5. No more affection or awkward affection
If giving your spouse a hug or touching them in a sensual manner feels awkward or uncomfortable, that is a sign that the expression of love is not coming naturally anymore.
Especially if you used to show it before. In marriage, signs of affection are very important as it a way to connect with our partners.
6. Don't want to spend time with each other
If you or your spouse don't put in the effort to spend time with each other, that could be a sign that you both are living in a loveless marriage.
As life partners, we should want to spend time with them and have experiences together. If not, what is the point of being in a relationship?
7. You feel unhappy in your marriage
Self-reflection is extremely important at all times in the relationship. if you are noticing that you are in an unhappy relationship, it is important to do something about it.
Nobody wants to live unhappily. Staying married when not in love only makes the situation worse.
What Next?
It is time to figure out the action steps. Are you and your spouse willing to do marriage counseling?
watch my video "How to save your marriage: Benefits of couples counseling": • Saving Your Relationsh...
Or maybe you internally decided that it is over. Divorce is hard and painful. This is not something you ever thought would happen.
But living in a loveless marriage is also painful and something that you and your spouse do not deserve. Life is too short to be in an unhappy relationship.
Sometimes separating is the right choice to make, and it is important to figure out what is right for you.
Whatever you do, it's time to figure out the next steps. The worst choice you can make is to not do anything at all and continue to stay unhappy.

Another sign is when the arguing stops . We don't even argue anymore, I don't care what he does or where he goes . I feel totally empty and devoid of all feelings towards him . We have no sex and when we did , I couldn't wait until it was over , I was embarrassed and awkward and I never ever climaxed I faked it and even that was half hearted . I feel like everyone around me is happier than me

My friend has been married for over 40 years. They are both so unhappy. They sleep in separate bedrooms. They don’t speak. They just share a house. He won’t leave because of the children and grandchildren. It’s really sad.

My 22 year marriage shows all of these signs. We identified trauma that my wife suffered before me as a cause of our strife. It essentially robbed us of physical intimacy very early on, which led to a long descent of decreasing emotional connection. We are now friends, roommates, and co-parents. We are not lovers. We are not partners. Sadly, therapy hasn't helped. Therapists have focused on the trauma as the primary focus of our issues, but have only given us suggestions such as "Do fun things together", or "Don't focus on sex". I get the idea, but we have had a sexless marriage for two decades. The idea that doing fun things would somehow encourage my wife to want to enjoy a more vulnerable emotional and physical relationship with me has not panned out. When you can't be vulnerable with your partner anymore, there's very little incentive to want to spend time with that person one on one. It's been hard. Perhaps even more bothersome is that my wife has no interest in talking about any of this outside of a therapists office, and given the advice, I don't bring any of this up. I even called our marriage last year and my wife love bombed me and I relented. And here I am a year later wondering what my next steps are. It is heartbreaking because I know she has suffered in her past, and is suffering now, but I also have to evaluate my life and my needs. I worry I have not been the best person or dad I can be because this has been hanging over our heads for so long.

Ellie please make yourself a bigger priority. You deserve to be happy and appreciated. If your current partner does not love you, respect you, take care of you or want to spend quality time with you then that is not going to be a good future for you. You need to realise it is time for you to stop being miserable in that relationship. It is not right that you are being treated that way. I know first hand how this feels. I have been in a loveless marriage for many years and am now planning on getting some legal advice to begin divorce proceedings. I have given my husband plenty of chances and opportunities to improve and change but he has done nothing. He hardly speaks to me, letalone about our relationship issues. I am emotionally exhausted and can never see my future being healthy or happy if I stay married to him. Sending you lots of luck and positive vibes. Take good care of yourself and start making some life changing decisions. You can be happy again xoxo

Mr. StarOfTruth - I'm so sorry you had this bad experience, my heart goes out to you because I've been there and you've clearly been deeply hurt, to the depths of your soul if I may assume. Know that you are not alone. I'm not going to try and convince you to open your heart, you've been too deeply hurt. All I can tell you, with love and compassion, is to get a trusted person that you can confide in, that would go a long way to help you feel better. Again, I'm so sorry. May you find the peace of mind, soul and heart that you so richly deserve. Peace.

Marriage like a plant needs to be watered love must be cultivated, marriage dies because we let go.. unfortunately selfishness has a lot to do with it. For any one out there that’s thinking of getting married know that marriages that last learn the value of forgiveness and became one team.

Everything seemed OK in my relationship until I saw signs of an affair and ask her about it? She was dressing different for this new job she got a long time ago like very provocative clothes like short shorts and short skirts very sexy underwear that she only wore for work never for me she was secretive with her phone and I felt I needed to know why the sudden change in appearance? We had already been married 16 years so I knew her habits this was so out of character for her well when I ask she denied of course then accused me of cheating then told me to stop checking up on her that she will talk to whom ever she wishes she was talking about these guys at her work every day like 3 of them she spoke very highly of them it was a daily topic but anyway she cut me off instantly and moved into our spare bedroom in the house I wasn’t even allowed to see her naked anymore no sex no anything all because I was concerned about my wife it put me in a sexless marriage
