Then one time, I was minding my own business and trying to ignore her when she kept calling my name. she walked straight to me and this time she ran her hand all over my ab area after she wrapped me in her arms. I wouldnt approach someone at work anymore. I had a little crush on a chick at work that showed some signs of interest but when asking her out she said no cause she is done with guys "supposedly". After that day everytime we would cross each other she would say hi how am i doing and i would reply simple and cold like" im good thank you" without asking her how she was. After a month she stop saying hi to me and we dont talk at all. It just feels awkward everytime i see her and whenever we cross paths and honestly uncomfortable too. But i dont regret my decision on answering cold after the rejection knowing my self worth. Im moving on but its hard to move on when you keep seing her. Ill probably transfer soon. Know your worth.

You don’t know your worth.. you’re here thinking that specific woman was suppose to be obligated to be into you. What were her signs of interest? Smiling and being nice? Something every female coworker would do lol. You got hurt and in your feelings because she told you the truth she wasn’t interested. You took it personal and that’s weak. You should never try to mess with coworkers unless you have enough game for that.

I was asked to comment on this topic due to my previous experience. For men, you have so much more to lose if things go wrong. All she has to do is complain to HR that you harassed her, and you’re gone! Guys, I have seen this happen so many times. Be careful, this is a huge gamble. Even if she flirts and initiates it first, the man will be fired if she complains. Sometimes the complaint might not even come from her, a third party complaint from another woman, who is jealous that guys don’t hit on her. Doesn’t matter - the man will be fired!!
@NoName-zb1gm7 ай бұрын
I usually don't do this but a co-worker and I have become seriously attracted to each other. I don't think either one of us planned for this. I asked her out a week ago. I had to because I didn't want to look like the scared wimp afraid t ask her out. We'll be going out soon. I think the best way to do it is to take it slow and have plan if it succeeds or fails. If it succeeds we can have our friendship at work and our romantic life outside of work. We were somewhat friendly at work so if it fails we can go back to that. I wouldn't really care because I'll find someone else.

The best way to do it is to plan an after hours hangout as a group where you invite multiple people so it’s not such a forward advance. If she’s in a relationship she might bring a date but if not you’ll know she’s single. If she is excited to go then that’s a good sign. Then look for typical signs of attraction since your outside of work where she’s not stuck in a room with you and is trying to be nice to pass time and get paid but is actually getting to know you by choice in her free time. It’s way more acceptable to ask more personal questions since it’s a laidback setting. If she breaks off into conversation with you and your coworkers seem to give you two space then it’s an even better sign. Then suggest hanging out 1 on 1. If she says no then be cool about it and don’t push any further

Hey, I like a female coworker. We did spend some time alone on the way to work plus other colleague of hers was trying to set us up in front of her. I do have a feeling she likes ( she is flirty, teasing, touchy, lights up when she sees me). I did ask her out 10 days ago for last weekend - she said she doesn’t know yet, then her kid got sick ( she is a single mother) so it could not happen. I was in vacation at the time of asking her out. Now two days at work things are like before - she jokes and laughs at my jokes. But due to the work we did not have much time to talk. I want to ask her out but should I do it now, next week is her birthday, or wait more and see how the things are. Plus they will be moving her to another place at some point in the future.
@alexflips393 Жыл бұрын
Great video. I did this last week and she said “I can be your friend”. So how do I behave around her now that she’s said no. I’ve distanced myself and she asked me “are we not talking anymore”. So it’s been really distant other than saying good morning and that’s it. Also I notice her looking at me, why is she looking at me?
@mrguile6391 Жыл бұрын
In my experience - distant yourself in mind, like, don't push yourself away in physical world. Imagine yourself in her shoes: "a cool guy approached me, it's fun to be around him, but I don't see him in romantic way and now it feels weird that after all this communication he's suddenly so distant" IMO it's a common courtesy to keep it cool even after getting your "no", because we all need to maintain healthy climate in our surroundings (workplace, in this case) I personally been in a situation like that - on prev-prev job - and distancing away was a big mistake since it made things even more sloppy, awkward and uncomfortable. Thankfully, me and that girl talked it out and kept "friendly colleauges" type of behaviour.

@@grantgeorgia1 I asked her out to lunch about two weeks ago when I told her I would be in the office. It went well. We had some good conversation. It was the first time talking about stuff other than work. We got to know about each other's interests, hobbies, etc. Our personalities are totally different though. She is an extrovert and I'm an introvert. There is some common ground between us as we both love to travel. Another layer of complexity is that she is the cousin of my boss. I think I will reach out to her again in a few weeks for lunch. I will take things slowly and see how things go. I'd advise you to take that plunge and ask your co-worker out for lunch! If a one on one lunch is too intimidating for you, perhaps plan a lunch outing with other co-workers and include her.

@jadeitemoon2446 Thanks for the details, hope all works out! So the key differences in my situation are 1) I left the company so she's an ex-coworker 2) I live 2.5 hours away 3) She works in a different group, so we never worked on any projects together, but I've chit-chatted for 2 years in-person when I'm in the office every few months. About 2 weeks after my last day with the company, she sent me a LinkedIn connection request. I accepted and messaged her to let me know when she's in my city and we could catch up over coffee. She agreed and even reciprocated by asking me to let her know when I'd be back in her city. Some light flirting/teasing from her ensued and I also got her number. I suppose I need to visit her city in the next month for a date, but she can't know she's the reason I'm visiting until date #2 at least (if it gets that far).

Thank you for this video, Blaine! I followed these steps in my recent affair - had a bad crush on a coworker, thankfully I read your article about that on your site! Although it worked great on paper (we talk like friends, she comes to my office to slack and laugh and complain about her duties haha, we go to dinner together, met at the bar on friday etc), she doesn't want us to be anything more than friends with benefits. So I'm stuck in some sort of a limbo here. One-strike rule applied, but we both seek intimacy. It's also kinda hard to catch her off-work and strike a date, since I know I'm not a priority at this point. Your guides and my brain tell me to move on, but I have hard time coping with my feelings. :( Which brings me to these questions - what is your opinion on Friends With Benefits? Can it develop into proper relationship? Is it true that some girls fall in love after sex? Thanks in advance, Your faithful student

Thanks for sharing that here. Different women have different views. She may or may not fall in love. Friends with benefits is totally fine as long as both parties agree on the same thing.
