As I come to know of the story, my chest swells with pride towards my ancestors who could instill the sense of Dharma within us that echoes through millenniums, without which I'm sure we could've not been able to take a different stand from the world and make the choice to give refuge to souls that have traveled the world in search of security fearing genocide. For us it's "Vasudaiva kudumbakam"... "the world is one family"...

Wish our history books spoke of these heros with a heart of gold. Just the other day I got to know on bbc about King of Mysore who built the first dam, train, power line and did good for his people.

how quickly the Polish have forgotten. The way Indians are discriminated and treated in Warsaw today is the total opposite. During the start of the Ukraine crisis, the Polish and Ukraine authorities treated Indian students and Africans very very very poorly. Even violently. in fact it was the Russians that helped Indian students reach safety, when the others abandoned them.

India is a country which welcomed their colonisers who stole all the materialistic treasure and forgot the real treasure; Indian culture and traditions.
