5 to 10 years is the timeframe I associate with quick changes.

You can pull (deadlift) ginormous loads with hookgrip and chalk. I've also never used a belt. For me, this automatically moderates the load and thereby reduces the risk of injury. I can only lift what I can hold. Also, you're forced to limit volume - a good thing for me - since my calluses will open up otherwise.

My grip training was bouldering/climbing for 4+ years at ~100kg bw. My pinch strength isn’t amazing, but I can still pull 85% of my deadlift max thumbless.

Great vid folks! Btw, I see funny coincidence that I started seeing much more content about grip strength appearing online after I bought Captains of Crush set some time ago 😂

I double overhand deadlifted 206kg/455lbs and decided to ditch it moving since I feel like I could have hit 495lbs sooner had I not been stubborn about doing all my deadlifts that way and felt like there was more downside (being stuck at lighter weights) than upside (saying I have a marginally stronger grip. I haven't seen many people do more than 500lbs so I doubt I could do a ton more) to training that way. Will use straps moving forward

Will use straps moving forward>>>> way ahead of your time. slowly but surely this is the new way to train

My best deadlift is 225kg and that is with hook grip. With double overhand grip, I could only do 180kg

I had incredibe grip strength, but i did Accutane and the oil in my skin is now non existent. Becuase there is no give in my skin even doing 10 chin ups or gripping dumbells destorys my skin and burns. Do you guys have any advice for this specific situation?

KB swings or snatches with soapy hands or cotton gloves will murder your grip ... just don't do 'em in front of a mirror.
