Is it not recommended to do more than 3 reps a set for front squats, or is going for more moderate reps like 3x5 fine if using it as an accessory for improving your clean, but also wanting a bit of hypertrophy.

as you already know jj doesn't have off-season. Should I have one myself even tho everyone else keeps training? Can't handle more than 3x week to the gym while training jj

How would you go about structuring meeting the 150 minutes of aerobic activity a week on top of running a 4x a week weightlifting program with no plans to compete.

In the cleans, should I aim to sweep the bar from the second pull to the extension (like Tian Tao or Tu Yi) or is it better to go for a more explosive bang (like Nino or Gabriel)? Is this more about personal preference or anthropometrics? I’ve been training WL for 2 years.
big thumbs up for the eventual video on special forces selection/training/performance S&C

For a recreational athlete who is interested in health and fun and nearing my 40's, is learning weightlifting a good way to maintain a healthy body while engaging in a challenging sport or is too demaning on extreme mobility to be healthy at later ages? Not saying I'm old now, but as you guys mentioned many times that when starting weightlifting you're in it for the long run. Thanks for all the great content you guys put out!

46:20 Obviously, people could just be lying but I found it interesting that at least in my weight class (u80), most people seem to be natural, including some ridiculously strong ones. I don't think anyone natty has won the Games in at least half a decade but I would bet a lot that at least some natties made the finals. Again, you never really know but us manlets seem to be quite honest about these things (bc we don't have any financial incentive to lie about it and no one really cares one way or the other) and I find myself surprised again and again by some people turning out to be natural after all. And similarly by the rather low level that some heavyweights on stuff compete at ^^ It's an interesting sports with a lot of curious facets like that (no doubt owed to the small number of competitors and by how recently some of the weight classes were established). Kinda gives me hope that I might end up achieving something great on a certain event where no one else is using my technique, haha.

So many options for Squattin. 20 reps work. But shocks the central nervous system.
