केशु जी,विभाजन के बाद मेरे पिताजी के सगे मौसा और उनका परिवार पाकिस्तान चले गए थे।उनसे 1985 तक ख़त किताबत होती थी फिर वो बंद हो गया।पिछले साल मैंने आपका विडियो देखा तो उन्हें ढूंढने का ख्याल मेरे मन में आया।मैंने आपके इनबॉक्स में उनकी डिटेल लिखी।बहुत से लोगो ने मुझे जवाब भेजा।फाइनली मैंने उन्हें दो महीने पहले ढूंढ लिया।वे लोग बहावल पुर और रहीम यार खान में रहते हैं।उन्हें मैंने उनके बुज़ुर्गों के घर और क़ब्रे दिखाई तो उनकी आंखें नम थी।लेकिन सबसे ख़ास बात यह है कि उनकी औलादे कभी भारत न तो आयी न ही पैदा हुए उसके बावजूद वे घर में भोजपुरी उर्दू बोलते है।हिंदुस्तानी खाना घर में बनाते हैं। शायद भारत विभाजन दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी विभीषिका थी।

Around four years back-- read about a Sikh Women( eighty years old) in Delhi,who kept a Big Path( for three days ) in a Gurudwara,for her mother,who she remembered last as--- waving good-bye to her three children( One girl ,two boys), sitting under a tree( she had mild fever)at Pak boarder! Up till Now, this Daughter s heart must be full of such pained memory ( but smiling face)of her mother!🙏

What is going on, on the both sides in some areas of both great nations, which forced some leaders to demand to live separately. There were some fanatics in all communities who were causing problems but vast majority of the people of indian subcontinent were living in peace and harmony and still got good feelings for each other. It could be thoufgtfully well planned to devide and rule for further centuries. Food for thought:- is there any benefit to close the borders? Is there any benefit not toballow the citizens to travel, to do business, study, treatment, to meet people etc? Are both great nations are further divided to be ruled by the foreign occupying powers at this time different. To give heavy loans and charging intetest etc. selling weapons to both countries and making both countries fool. People are suffering because of the heavy loans and defence budgets. Thanks

My mom’s dadaji was in Multan. last time family heard that they were with other people in Kacha Kho.. but he never came back in India. My mom always talks about him till to the day. Your point that many sikhs and hindus converted to islam during partition is absolutely true. I used to work in a hospital in mumbai earlier where there was a punjabi hindu lady in my office maybe in her 50s whose parents had migrated at the time of partition. She told that her Mausi( maternal aunt ) and her family didn't migrated in 1947 and stayed there only in pakistan. Later after long time when her mom and Mausi had contact they came to know that she and her family had become muslim now.

I know of a very close family friend whose father converted to Islam from Sikhism and settled in Lahore as successful businessman while his brother maintained the sikh faith and stayed in Delhi. The first cousins both Muslim and sikh meet but as they say blood is thicker than any faith.

There are lots of stories about hindus and sikhs atrocities. There are some families who know that their relatives were converted in 47. In haryana, many jaats and rajput were muslims but they were converted into hinduism. Same way in punjab there are many people who were muslims but now they are sikh. Go and read about alwar and bharatpur massacres.

Very sad story. But we haven't learnt anything. It's still happening all over the world. Many times I have appealed to the politicians, top celebrities about scrapping religion from our life. In modern era it is not required. But some didn't reply. Some said it's not practical. Unless some unforeseen firm decision is taken, it would never stop. Only we shall shed tears.
